Dustin, That type of belt is notorious for ending up in your chains.....if you install them, always wear them. It is when they are not worn that they dangle down into the chains.
If you search Ebay for golf cart seat belts you can find retractable ones. The next problem is where to mount them....one belt in the center for the driver alone, or two belts which wont be convenient for a single person in your maxII.

1 set of rules says "Full roll cage required"
another says..."4. Helmets must be worn at all times when ATV/dirt bike/UTV's without a rollbar, is in motion." ..... thus implying a roll cage is NOT REQUIRED.
