  • April 3-5 2009 at Busco Beach in NC

I deleted the old thread to start one with concrete information:

We have planned another ride in North Carolina for the weekend of April 4th. Some of us are planning on going down Friday the 3rd and staying until Sunday the 5th. If you haven't been on a ride and can make it I encourage you to come out and ride with some other AATVs even if just for a day. We always have fun and love meeting others from the site.

    Here's the info:

    When:
    April 3rd - 5th, 2009

    Where:
Busco Beach off road park in Goldsboro, NC.

Here is a Google map of Busco Beach so you can see how far it is from where you live: Map of Busco Beach

Here is a link to their website: Busco Beach

    They offer:

    - A mud pit
    - Several ponds
    - A drag strip
    - 1500 acres of trails
    - Bath houses with bathrooms and hot showers
    - A concession stand
    - A game room
    - A fishing lake stocked with bass
    - An air station for airing up tires

    Cost:

    $5 entrance fee per person
$10 per ATV that you bring

    Primitive Camping - $5 a night
    RV camping w/ hookup - $25 a night

    Park Rules:

    Everyone must wear a helmet!

I look forward to meeting some of you from the site that I haven't met yet and getting in some good 6x6 riding. I have the event added to the calender so that you can get an email reminder when it gets closer to time. Here's that link: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/calen...8&day=2009-4-3

Now that it's over, I deleted the 31 pages of "planning" posts so that everyone can talk about the ride here in this thread. It was great to meet so many new members and put a face (and real name) with a user name. Thanks for making this the best NC event yet!

Great video, MMIV- thanks for posting it. It looks like you had a great time, wish we would've been there. We won't miss the fall ride, glad to hear it's already being planned. How do you like the Argo, liflod?

I had such a great time yesterday. The only bad part was having to leave before dinner.

There were a lot of great people and great machines. I learned so much by watching others go through the holes.

I'd like to thank Mike again for having this forum, which brought all of us together for the ride this weekend. As I told him, I would not have bought a 6x6 of any kind without seeing the amount of information on this site, and I wouldn't have chosen a Max II if I didn't see the videos of what he can do with the vehicle.

I'll be heading to Busco at least once a month since I live so close. If anyone wants to hook up there for a day ride, let me know.

                        WoW!!!!!

Great ride guys!I always have fun at these gatherings and this was Awesome!!! We made a great showing!

Meeting the members in person was great! Never met a better bunch of people.

This ride was tough and fun! Thrills and more thrills. We saw the Blackbird stretch it's legs and that machine will move!!

We knocked tire beads off and looked GOOD putting them back on!!

McCoy i am sure that the water splash was a accident.

October is just around the corner. The videos can begin!!
