    ASX Tires in action

This is a video of my ASX equipped Max going into and backing out of a bad mud hole. There were several areas at hawkinsville that were ruted out with very bad mud. In these areas the extra width Lee and I had gave us a big advantage. In deep ruted holes the ASX tires pulled me through like it was nothing. Stock Goodyears would have high centered and stuck imediately. There were several areas that my ASX tires looked like gum balls but they just kept pulling in the mud. I drove Mud Bugs Gator equipped MAXIV
and his tires felt like spagetti next to my ASX tires but Mud Bug was able to go through everything we went through and beat us in several areas, a testiment to his driving.

        Nice Clips

MMIV, Thanks for posting those videos, looks like you guys had a ball! The tire/machine details is what the members need to evaluate performance. I can't wait to see Mudbug's video's. Impressive!

          Winch

For those of you who are wondering, the best videos and mud holes were not filmed because we were spending most of our time getting unstuck. We totally out performed all the high dollar quads and after they got stuck trying to follow us they finally stopped trying. My Viper 4500 pound winch got the work out of it's life with each of our vehicles getting stuck several times in very bad pudding mud. Since I had two other well set up machines with me we tried stuff that was just impossible and made it most every time(mudbug wouldn't let us winch him out, instead he would work his way through). There were times when Lee and I were both stuck going from one bad mud hole to the next pulling each other out as we went along wondering how we were going to get out. Never had so much fun. If I was alone I couldn't have gone into some of the bad swampy areas with a few inches of water above very bad mud.

            Had a good time?

Looks like you fellows had a good time! Really enjoyed the videos there Dan. Can't wait to see the rest of them. We were in video withdrawal!

Did the quads every speak to you guys about your machines? Or.....did they avoid you guys the rest of the day.

            Thanks for the videos!
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

Lewis we talked to the quad guys several times through out the day, some were interested and some curious. Some times they watched us go through some of the impossible mud, they would watch, one guy with an outlaw equipped quad made it through one of the bad mud holes I had just gone through, he was the only on who would even try some of the areas we went into. One group came up after I had just gone through an almost impossible hole. We gave them three lines that we had all gone through easy hard impossible, and they wouldn't try any of them. They asked me to take my tracked quad off the truck and run it through the woods with them but I was having to much fun with the Max and the quad never came off my truck.

                    Mud hole

I think David could have made this hole if he would have backed up a little more.

                                Roger,

This was the absolute most fun that I,ve ever had with my Max IV. Down in the river bottoms where Lee, Dan, and I rode , was mud hole after mud hole ,with countless trees as far as you could see. What was really great though,, was that most of the trees were far enough apart to drive our amphibs through. We just played follow the leader when I got there. Who ever was the new trail leader at the time , would just pick a direction, and off we drove. Each time we did this we tried to make it more and more challenging. Roger , you would have really loved this place!
