    New Tires

Roger, those tires wouldn't have moved in the Mud. I don't even want to try a set. When they first came out I priced a set and was ready to buy them but decided to wait. Love my ASX's

You two already made your mind up w/o any evidence? I'm not dissing you guy's tires and won't mention it again, am just curious to see a set on something besides an avenger.

Interco has a tire called the S.S. TSL that looks very similar and is sized in 25x13.5-9 which would be exactly what I'm looking for. In your opinion are these TSL tires close enough to the ASX skins that you have, or are they a different animal altogether??

P.S. Where did you pick up the wheel spacers?
Here is a link to wheel spacers, you will need a five bolt pattern 4 1/2 circle with 7/16th fine tread lugs. Mine are 1 1/2 inch but I would recommend a 1 inch.

        Wheel Spacers

These are vampire TSL's if you are going to run a 9" rim buy the 25x13.5x9 tire. This is the same tire that bonsure uses. Swims a little and unstoppable in the mud. Mudbug has several videos of Bonsures machine in the mud and water. If you get these tire you can probably get away with a 1/4" wheel spacer you can buy at PEP Boys for $8.00 a set.

        S.S. TSL /ATV | Interco Tire

This is the Vampire 26" ASX, listed as a 26x13x12 but is between 13 and fourteen inches wide. This is the tire of choice. Heavy , 36 pounds a piece and you will need some really good power to turn them.

Roger, I have seen the tires in the mud, excellent swimmers good in the mud. I was much more impressed with the stock frontier tires on heaths Frontier, he and I have been in swamp conditions that were worse than these videos and those frontier tire were something to watch. Jury is still out on the 25" tire but so far I am not impressed. Lee has run stock tires and Bugs on his frontier and he will tell you his machine would not have moved in this mud with stock tires. Stock Frontiers are the best i have seen with roots and logs under the water. Nothing I have seen grabs like them but in pure mud they are just good.

Roger, there are several forum members in Canada running those new 25" Argo tires on their Mudd Oxen, they can tell you more than me about there performance.

New ruler in p-nut butter mud over MUD BUGS or anything else that i have seen.

                  Roger s,

My Frontier had Frontier tires on it from the factory i got stuck numerous times in medium to p-nut butter mud black and clay mud, i order mud bugs a few days later and went back to these mud holes AND MADE ALL OF THEM, so in my testing Frontier tires are no comparison in this kind of mud.

Those are very kind words Lee since your Mud Bug equiped Frontier is the best mud eating machine I have ever seen.

Hi Lee, I've seen all your videos and Dave has talked about you.. think he said you run 5 psi? Your frontier benefits from a bigger tire, there's plenty of room for them. I like how much higher we float with larger tires.

The tire I mentioned is the avenger tire, not your frontier tire, I only mentioned it because someone was looking for a 9" tire for Matt's wheels. I really don't want to distract from the topic of your weekend trip.... any more than I have, Mike can clean it all out if he wants.

                        Roger,

Dan was originally running 2 psi in all of his ASX tires right before I met him and Lee at Mud Creek park , but he lost a bead on the front of his Max IV. This was because of underwater roots, sticks, and cypress knees. In the past Lee used to run either 0 psi or 2 psi on Matt,s rims with his Mud bug tires, but he kept getting sticks stuck between the rim and the tire with this low air pressure. I was planning on running 3 psi in all of my Gator tires when I met them at Mud Creek ,but both of them talked me into running 5 psi in all of my tires because of what had happened to them. Even at 5 psi I still came home with a peice of stick stuck between the rim and the right front tire. I,m very sure that this would have debeaded my right front tire if I had,nt been running 5 psi that day.

                                mightymaxIV,

I really had to work the sticks on my Max IV to get out of that creek. The Gator tires are great in the mud,, but in the water , its really touch and go if you can,t touch the bottom. The split shifter that Brushcutter built for me really came in handy in this situation.
