This will give you an idea what Mud creek looked like on feburary 27 of this year , and it's rained a whole lot more since this video was taken.

This is what the atv Mud National's endurance race looked like in 2011. This is the place to be for maximum amphib exposure. With about 10 psi in 6 or 8 carlise swimmer tires ,you'll be able the fly through this mud pit. I've heard that the atv's are averaging about 12-14 mph through this mud and water race.

Leaving Nashville ( 11hrs YUCK!) and bringing a 'nothing special' Hustler, the M274 Army Mule needs a mag rebuild. The drive will suck but I'm jones'in to get together for a ride as I have yet to
see another AATV in real life.

If you are going be sure to take your thermacel and or bug spray. Wet weather and warm temps over the last month have brought the 6-legged vampires out with a vengeance. I've had 4 1/2" of rain since noon, we're under a flash flood warning, it's still pouring here, and I'm thinking they've had even more over that way. Really good amphib weather, wish mine was up and going.

Forcast has anywhere between 2-10" rain in near Jacksonville for the next 2 days! Next week is calling for the highs to be in the low 80's, with lows in the mid 60's. Between all the other rain we've had and the current heavy rain falling, we will have one AWESOME MUD Nats!!! It won't ge much better then this. This year should be one heck of a shown of serious muddin'. Hope to see you there!

On the week of the Mud Nationals I've heard that the gates open up at 6:00 am on friday morning and that's when the people start rolling in. You might have to wait about 15-30 minutes to get into the park even at this time I've been told. Don't expect to be able to find a hotel with in 50 miles from Jacksonvile.

I did a search on mapquest for the mileage and time from Monroe, La to Jacksonville, Tx where the Mud Nationals will be held.

    3 hrs 25 mins / 208.58 miles
