I was meaning that you could purchase a stock muffler for yours. I purchased motors for my three ATVs without mufflers. One of them I did like you and welded up my own exhaust:

The other one pictured in the post above had an internal exhaust that was a little more restricted on space so I purchased a stock muffler from Max. The third one is an Argo Avenger. I purchased a stock Briggs muffler for it as well. They aren't the freest flowing exhaust but they are quiet compared to the custom exhaust.

I didn't realize you didn't have any muffler at all. You said you had a custom header in your first post but I still imagined a muffler for some reason. I bet that is loud. Now that I understand a little better what you have, I guess you aren't looking for the quietest muffler you can find. In that case, I would go with something like what is pictured above. Several members have used those glass-pack mufflers with good results. It still gives you a throaty sound without ringing your ears like you open pipe probably does. You can hear what it sounds like in the video on the home page.

I'll link directly to the sound clips. Here is my Max IV with that muffler on a Briggs Bandolero motor with 30HP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...QY3IlMcY#t=398 Here is another Max IV with a 40HP Al Hodge Briggs and similar muffler: https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...QY3IlMcY#t=635
