Does anybody know where I can get crank bearings for a 292 yamaha motor I went to the local bearing supply house and they tell me its a OEM part that hasn't been imported into the states [ever] no cross ref is available. They even called japan the koyo supplier and nothing is available.I went to the local bike /snowmobile shops and got the same info. All the dim. are stock size [od.width] except the ID is 32mm and stock available industry standard is 30mm ID The only other option is to have the crank turned down to 30mm to fit the stock bearing size. Any help /ideas would be great
Maybe some day I will get the scrambler running
    Thanks tlp

If nothing else works out then having the crank machined to fit is an option, but may cause problems trying to find proper fit seals, unless the bearings are sealing style bearings.

Hi, why not buy standard bearing and find a friendly machine shop to bore it out 2mm. You need to be abit cunning in how you chuck it either bolt it back onto a faceplate or insert something into ball race to stop it turning. You can machine bearings with carbide lathe tools just take small cuts at high rpm, swarf comes off glowing red and it will cost a few tips but it can be done. Better still a cylindrical grinder
