I think the problem is that you posted that you don't want to weld anything. If you are going to build something yourself then you need to weld the exhaust or at least weld flanges to the header. Why not just stick with a stock exhaust?

Because Its on my Argo and it sits right under the hood which is causing it to melt I want to exhost it out of the origional spot. Its not that I dont want to weld I just dont know how plan B is to go with the flex pipe and just replace it every year.

well, you can buy an exhaust tube flare tool, and use exhaust clamps. You flare one end of the pipe, slip the flare over the existing, and clamp it. It still requires cutting, but you may be able to do it that way.

If the excess heat is your problem then just get some header wrap and insulate your existing muffler and exhaust pipe with it. That would reduce the temperatures greatly and keep you from fabricating anything else.

If heat is a problem do what streetbikes do. They sell material that basically blocks heat. I put it all over the back of my bike fairings because my aftermarket pipe was causing them to melt. Worked like a champ!

                    hi ,
Using an original muffler stores a great deal of heat .
This is very evident if u use the box /cylinder type that installs across both cylinder heads . kohler or vanguard engines etc
If at all possible run an inline muffler in the direction of air flow coming of the cyllinder heads . All the exhaust heat exits .
The other is to place a 2 into 1 exhaust into a muffler [prefer with spark arrestor ]
and allow pipe work to exit body .

The above has been used on a friends argo with great succes
I shifted the box muffler inside body to a cylinder muffler located between the wheels outside the body on a swamp fox with great results

Suggest that u download some of the pics that r on this site and have fabricated at a exhaust shop .The short pipes from the clinder head can be cut off the original set up and reused .
