Hi guys, I just gave a little test on the chanel tracks. My story;, My ice shack ( kind of havey) was in my back yard. I took my truck ( 4x4) to pull it out ut it was icy and it didn't work so I try with the argo and got it out. I then pulled the shack on the road with the truck ( about 5 miles) to the shore of the lake. A week later I went to get it with the argo to put it on the the lake. The snow plow had passed and left big snow bank. How suprised I was when I pulled it whit the argo. No effort at all. I got on the lake and pulled in slush and snow for about a mile.
To answer to North country, I don't have a garage and my argo sleeps in a shelter ( tempo type). It seems that the ice build up on the crosser goes off easy as soon as we get hard stuff. I drove it days later in -20C and no problem. Went back on the lake, snow close to 2 feet and some slush just like nothing. There as never been any problem with tire slipping.
I was also surprise with climbing in snow. Also you turn on a dime with no strees at all, very amasing to see that.
The downside I find is that it is very rough ride on hard road and it doesn't go fast on lake ( and no way to try to go fast on hard road) but you don't feel it in snow and on lake.
That is my story for now. Next time I'll try it in heavy bush and very deep snow. So far we're getting a lot of snow here in northwestern Québec.
