My bad, I missed that post so didn't understand the threats made. I've just seen the hatred over time for certain brands being mentioned on the forum that weren't sponsors. I personally just like to tell it like it is and brand loyalty is the last thing on my agenda.

Do not know why everyone was saying chanels don't swim at all. I finally got a chance to get my 6x6 ic with chanels on it on to the lake and while it does swim better in reverse than forward and I am not going to set any speed records i did move around a lot better than when i just had tires. With tires alone i could not move at all in the water. I have a mod that i am just waiting to get on the plasma table with that should improve the swim ability of the chanels by creating a bolt on paddle similar in design to the outside of a escargo track. I will post results when i try this.

very short video, will have more soon but of course don't have a lot of time for playing this time of year. This machine has paddles 2.5" tall, every 6th grouser. I believe that every 4th grouser 2" tall is even better. Testing a couple other combinations to include conquest, avenger, and Mudd-Ox Vengeance with 14" Vendetta tires and this style set-up to give you guys accurate comparisons. Seems like the spacing and paddle height dictate what track speed works the best.

Good work as usual on the vids Buzz, one day I might get into the whole video editing thing. I'm going to have to get some good muskeg vids soon of the Escargo's. Plott Hound, you are too funny. If Adairs cure cancer I might very well find out someday for myself. haha

Here is a good swimming video, I think. Impressed me, and shows the paddles.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.
Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

ArgoJim, those particular paddle-shapes (full chevron scoop), ended up being slower than expected in the water. Other paddle shapes have proven to work much better. I expected more out of the chevrons, but that's why you test em right? But still better than no paddles bolted on

your are right. I'm dealing with this issue now with two argos. It's all ok to use any track when you're driving on flat terrain or snow but when you're operating on un-even ground, that's where the problem starts. The chaneltracks are great, i have a set and it has cause me grief from uneven ground or deep ruts in the road.
