Keith will have the weight advantage,as his unit weighs half as much, but I'll still bet serious cash I will be pulling him out at least once.
Yes, I will have video of the whole ordeal, especially lots of footage pulling keith out. Any takers on how this is going to pan out, voice your thoughts now before we start. I'm betting he's getting pulled out 3 times.
    I'll Play
Just for clairification...... You have the 14" Belted Adair Tracks with the "Snow Kit" extensions and cleats, and Keith has the 18" "Chained" Adair Tracks....... Is this correct?

I don't believe you will get any footage of Keith being pulled out, but if he does get stuck, I expect to see a vid of you driving around his machine before it gets pulled out

I would like to make a request. After you get stuck and pulled out, I would like to see Keith's machine drive straight into the hole you were pulled out of, to see if he can drive right through your tracks and out the other side, or vise-versa.

    Have fun
    RD

Holly Mackerel Fox Valley! I stay off the internet for two days and you post more ground breaking unbelievable videos, if I wasn't watching this video with my own eyes I would tell you this couldn't be done! Wow you have done it again Fox Valley!

The first video shows just how well the counter rotation works under these conditions, you were able to get your Argo straight and pull right up a sand bank that would have been the death of most machines, and all this pulling a log trailer! Wow that machine swims well!

Seriously...it did look like a pretty well built little trailer...when I seen the overloaded pile of logs on it go down in the water I thought to myself "nope"..."that ain't gonna work"..."that trailer is gonna sink like a rock"...made me giggle when you dragged it up that steep sand bank anyway and all the water dumped out of the back if the trailer...thought to myself..."well I guess that's one way to wash your firewood"...lol...leave it to Doug to get things done!

I was shocked,no stunned, that the trailer wasn't going on the burn pile today!

Hey Rock, Haven't forgot about your request, just don't have the manpower (ballast) to fill it up. The pro series with the cleat kits installed turn very simular to the rubber tracks,if not better on hard surfaces, and any unit that would run rubber, can run these, but the nice thing about this setup, is you can take the cleat kit off,and turn like silk, and still have an extremly aggressive track.
I had to put about 400lbs. of logs in the back of the unit,to get out of the swamp with the trailer, with about 100lbs. in it,so there is 600lbs. in the argo pulling the trailer,I know you don't have the same setup, but this is all I have to demo in(ya,I know it sucks)but weight in this setup is more of a non issue.
I will post the vid of me getting out of the swamp this way,I was going to delete it,(boring) but it might give you a better idea about these tracks. One more note on this video, there is still ice under the water on this trail, and without steel cleats,I never would have made it back here,......at all....
