HDi tire question

I am running a set of rubber tracks on my HDi. This is my second one. They do what nothing else does. This one came with higher gearing which is a huge mistake. I didn't order it that way but it is what it is. I have always had an issue with the track guides punching the bead off the tires occasionally. Usually the fronts. I started to run a higher tire pressure and that eliminated the problem. This last run however I found I had a flat. Second tire back. I found a small split in the sidewall. Do you think it's from higher pressure in the tire? Is there any reason I can't run an aftermarket tire? If yes which one is best? I know my tire guy is going to resist the idea of a patch and a tube.

What pressure are you running in your tires with the tracks on..should be 5psi front,7 psi for both middle , 6 psi rear

I had the same thing happen to my second tire back this winter. I have tracks on and use it for plowing. After plowing one day I noticed that one tire was flat - apparently popped the bead off and "maybe" caused a small cut? It didn't go all the way through, so I'm still running it and it hold air just fine.

Way more pressure. Probably up around 12 psi. Running those low pressures I blew a bead every time I went out.

Why do they recommend those specifics pressures?

With those pressures I have never walked out of a track or blew a bead. I would assume those pressures are recommended for proper tensioning of the track and easier turning with the higher pressure and larger tires in the middle.
