How do these compare with the Vampire ASXs you ran back in the day?
also: Cypress knees and tree stumps under the water are nothing but traction for Adair tracks, I had forgotten that every thing under the water becomes a major concern when you are playin in a swamp area with tires.
Try this for the video:

I was wondering if you had a chance if you could throw your spacers on and try swimming. I have noticed that the water gets thrown to the sides with these tires and was wondering if with the tires mounted close to the body if it is unable to escape. Just a thought. Looks like I will drop from 3psi to 1.5. Thanks for the tip.

I forgot to say in the review, they pull out of mud holes, not as well a Adair tracks but better then any tire I have had on the max. Also, one of the main issues, they are so wide that if you get high centered you can rock the machine, grab traction on one side and pull off the rut, I have never been able to get off of high centers with any other tire I had on the Max

Great video Dan. You really put your Max IV through some swampy conditions. Thank you for posting a video so quickly. Maybe you are correct about the amount of straight bar for swimming. If it ever warms up here I will give it a test. I am running 4" spacers if I remember correctly. I have always run 3psi also. I'm heading out to cut cut some wood and am going to try 1.5psi and see how that rides. Are you going to take your Max to Busco this year?

I do plan to be at Busco this year, I will probably bring the tires and my Adair tracks.

Alright, I spend the day with Norm, Karen, Fred and Derek at the Big Nasty and I managed to get the Max shod with the 16 vendettas tires though every nasty mud hole and area we could find. The performance of the Vendettas in soft mud with very little water was outstanding. I ran the tires with a little more then 5 PSI this time and my swim speed picked up dramatically, my best guess would be over three mph. Here is some video of our punishing trail ride.

Well with all the talk about the new 16" Vendetta tires I thought I'd try a set. The first thing I noticed was the smooth ride compared to the Good Years. Despite the wide width they seemed to skid steer nice as well. They're a little slower in the water but the added stability made up for it. They moved along nice at quarter throttle. My trip to Mudd Ox to get these was fun too. Matt took time out of his busy day to show me the factory and his collection of relics. Pretty impressive to see so many makes and models in one place. We took a spin in an ox too, Matt claimed that this was part of his job for the day but I'm not so sure lol. All in all I'm happy with the tires and just wanted to give my opinion. Hope this helps. What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.
