Your Hustler 980 , Deep tub has some really impressive swim speed. If Matt was in the water with you in his Mudd-Ox and both of your machines were about dead even in the water, then that's really impressive for a machine that weighs much more than your machine does.

Dave, I do not know if Nick had any time to do any video of the Vendetta tires on the new Mudd-Ox they had at the event. Between racing, it being gone for test drives and me grabbing Nick to video me, I think he may not have any video but I do not know for sure. What I do know is Matt took it in the water while I was in the pond with the Hustler and we were about dead even for top speed.

I would give your video two Big thumbs up for the great camera angles and the zoom in shots. When do you think you'll have a Mudd-Ox video with the Vendetta tires in the lake?

I'm glad you all liked the video! I hoped it wasn't boring, I had to cut it down from 20 minutes

You're welcome! It's not the first time those shoes have been mucky

Your Hustler 980, deep tub , Bigfoot is really fast in the water. I think it's the fastest Hustler, deep tub yet. The deep tub Hustlers aren't known for being that stable in the water when ever you have to lean them making a turn , but your Hustler sure is with the wider stance of the Vendetta tires. Jpswift1 Hustler 980 isn't the deep tub model, and with the tire wells much closer over the tires, thus being able to channel the water direction much better, Jpswift1's Hustler 980 should be even faster than your 980 in deep water. I was also impressed with the mudding ability of the new Vendetta tire. Slow throttle and low gearing looks the winning ticket. If the Vendetta tire isn't out of budget for most forum members , Matt's got a winner on his hands for sure!

Thanks for taking the time to film and post up the videos of your Hustler in action. First let me say that machine of yours has the fastest water speed I have ever seen with a Hustler. I also took note that the machine floated higher then almost any machine I have ever seen and that it was remarkably stable in the water.
I was very impressed with the Hustler gearing and the way you could walk through that slick mud and mud holes with out working the engine or drive train to hard. I have always been impressed with the way Hustlers walk through bad mud but that machine sets new standards. Those old Briggs flat head engines produce a lot of low end torque and are almost perfect for bad trail conditions.
I also enjoyed watching your machine climb over logs, and I noted that the extra ground clearance on your machine helped in several trail conditions that might have hung up another machine.
Over all, very impressive performance, thank you for taking the time to produce and post up this video.

    The Pink Floyd was awesome!

As promised video of my vintage 980 Hustler fitted with Vendetta tires hitting the trails and pond at Ashtabula. The old 18HP Briggs flathead ran great all weekend. What she lacked in HP and rpm she makes up for in gearing. As you will see, the Vendettas do most of the work.
    Enjoy.

A big thank you to Nicholas for doing such a great job running the video camera. Sorry I made you get out to take video so often. I probably owe you a new pair of shoes.

Looks like they are pretty close to the tub,any rubbing? These look like a giant Runamuk ,they were a real good tire, but wore a little to fast if used on any type of pavement.I still am not convinced these are better than the Super -Terra for longevity although they will have more floatation. If floatation is what you are after then these are it,for durability, the Super-Terras bigger lugs will last longer.I would be impressed, interested if these ever showed up for a 8 or 9" wheel.

Hah Dan you sound as excited as me. Pictures first as the service is a bit slow here at home. Here is a picture of a lug on the Vendetta after running the weekend at Ashtabula. Put about a gallon and a half through the Hustler's 18HP Briggs I/C engine over the weekend. Cruzin the campgrounds, trail riding, mud testing and of course swimming.

    Swimming video should upload tonight.

    Keith.

Stopped at Matt's on the way to Ashtabula. Peeled the Super Terra Grips off the Hustlers K-Lock rims and mounted up a new set of Vendettas for the weekend at Ashtabula. I sold the Super Terra Grips at Ashtabula as the Vendettas swim, ride and mud so well I would never really use them again. If you own 12" K-Locks the Vendettas mount right up and will bolt right on the Hustler 980 tall tub. Matts rims are the same right now just black. My rims were silver.

    Sounds awesome Keith.
Did you mount the Vendettas on your Max's 12" rims, or on Matt's new 12" rims? Is the offset the same on both rims?

Dan and Tomas, Tires will be available to everyone. As far as I know Matt and his dealers will have them available soon. All testing by me was done at 3PSI. I spent the weekend testing the Vens on my 980. They are fast and stable in water. I am sitting in the Mudd-Ox Mecca parking lot now. I have hours of video that needs to be edited. Swimming and in clay based mud at Ashtabula. Hope to get home and post for you guys soon.

Hey Kieth, Could I request a similar video of the Vendetta tires on your 980 Hustler? If they perform on the Bigfoot Hustler as well as they do on the Max 4 I will be ordering a set. Wow the water speed is what I am most impressed with. I bet a Hustler will perform just as well or better in the water with those tires. Awesome job and we all thank you for you time and efforts.

Just my opinion but I'll bet that an Argo 650 HD with a set of these Vendetta 26" tires would be king of the beast.
An Argo HD 6x6 has a 57.3 inch wheel base. Fitted with a set of Vendettas there should be about 2 1/2 inches between tires (almost perfect for climbing fallen trees).
Approximately 11 inches of ground clearance (wow 11 inches-think of what that would do for you in trail conditions), low track like PSI, excellent water speed, good horse power, reliable, soft tires for a good ride, excellent for fallen trees and swamp conditions, good in mud, and my favorite, a low range transmission with true six wheel drive, light weight, it should have excellent trail speed and a sporty comfortable ride.
I can't imagine a better all around trail machine then a 650 HD fitted with Vendetta tires.
