Go to tiresunlimited.com if you need the 21x11-8 Rawhide style tires for your machine. They are the Carlisle Powertrac II tires. I just ordered some for my machine. Costs me 289.00 delivered at my door. BTW, Richard Clarks gets 60.00 each for the exact same tire.

Haha, yep that phrase is all over his site "attractive prices".......it is such a joke. Anyways, Tiresunlimited.com is a good place to get tires from. I got a set of 22" Goodyear Rawhide III's from them a couple years ago for only $42 each. There is another place out in the midwest somewhere that carries tires for really good prices too, but I can't remember the link offhand. Maybe someone can chime in and post it. Congrats on the purchase of the new tires......another step closer to getting a cool older machine back on the trails.Originally posted by eddieb1965 View PostThats some of that attractive prices thing, attractive but to who?

The only 21x11-8 tires that I could find listed on that site were the AT101 Chevron tires but not the Powertrac II tires.Originally posted by Sandcassle View PostGo to tiresunlimited.com if you need the 21x11-8 Rawhide style tires for your machine. You mentioned that you have to call them on the price. Is it that they don't have them listed either?

Guy,
Just wanted to throw out my experience with the power trac II. I had a set on my Max IV at one time. It may have been my bad luck (or bad driving) but over the course of one weekend I gashed four of them on the sidewall. I would say if you plan on driving anywhere near rocks look at something with a more durable sidewall

Hi:
I also have the PowerTracII on my Wolf. (4 of em, front 2 are Goodyears.)
I haven't been horrible to em, but I have driven over more than a few "candle sticks" ( 1 - 3" diameter tree stumps cut at an angle, sticking up a foot or less, basically pungy sticks) while driving through the swamp in my backyard, and over rocky hills/unfinished logging trails on the far side. I WILL jinx myself here, but the only casualty has been a stem that I ripped right out of the rim, but the tires show no damage, ride pretty good, perform well and outswim Mogman's MaxIV with RawhideIIIs. I guess like the Argo Frontier tires, some people kill em while others love-em.Attex 295 Wild Wolf: sigpic My Runner

27" Vampires
Do you guys think I could presude a set 27x9x10 Vampires on a Hustler 650 with the org. gearing and the 440 2 stroke? I'm willing to modify the outside "can" muffler and possiably lightly modify the body with some heat to keep it from rubbing. Or is this an overkill? If so what will be the best size. The riding quality is not a big deal for me. I just don't want to get stuck in the mud and in dry ruts. I guess I think I need ground clearance. This is new to me. I really don't know how "stickable" these 6x6's are.
Any input is appreciated
Thanks,
Jason
P.S.
Good to be here among fellow 6 wheelers.
