    Jason, The Hustler 980 BIGFOOT is the only one that can clear 27" tires. I believe the largest tire that a Hustler 900 with the 440 2 cycle engine with the outboard muffler can clear is around 21"-22".

      Thanks for the link jpswift. Any info on the discontinued 21 and 22" Goodyear Rawhide tires? I used to buy them cheap just like you said but now Goodyear no longer sells them to individuals?

        I'm not sure modifying the exhaust on the 440 Kohler is such a good idea. I think most 2 strokes are tuned with the exhaust. It may be hard on the engine without the exhaust properly set up. I'm not totally sure about this, but Don would probably be the one who would know for sure.
