  • another set of home made tracks

Not mine, but a French-Canadian made a set of tracks for his 6x6.

    I don't have the details

but he said both tracks on the balance show a 150 pounds weight (75 lbs each)

look like a steel channel / baler belting setup

Nice, looks like they work well in the muck and mud. Actually, they really do look like they will help alot.
But, I think I like smogs better for winter conditions.

And I think he made the tooling so he can build more sets and sell them.

From watching the video's that were posted of these home made tracks, they look like they would mud really well, but they did'nt look like they swam very well in the water though. As you watch the man in the Argo 6x6 moving fast through the water , you can tell that the tracks are touching the bottom by all of the mud thrown up in the water. When the video counter reaches 3:24 in the second video it does'nt seem like these tracks move very fast in the water unless they can grab some traction.

I didn't say it can swim but as per the video, there's always a track touching the bottom so we can't say if it will swim or not.

Great looking set of tracks....no doubt a huge improvement over just tires...I bet they might swim better than you think if he can try not to spin them real fast...nice job, two thumbs up!
