Yes it had fiber washers and I replaced them as they were, I loosened up the bolts this morning and once I had a little gap it freed up but it seems to not be engaging like it should on right side, after reading y'all's comments, I am wondering if washer with notch is right, I guess u just slide the sun gear on and then let the washer with tab fall down shaft after the sun gear right? When I get home I will check and see if the alignment is the issue. Thanks for the ideas. Hope that is all it is. It is a 95 max iv just FYI.

You can smear a little grease or vasilene on the tab washer to get it to stick on the center plate boss. Just gotta be careful when sliding the plate on. 2 things must be clocked properly during assembly, the tab washer and the plate/band anchor pin. Rig up the left side per the pics when assembled, this will help keep everything from moving around while your installing it into the right 1/2.

If you had a center plate without the groove on each side for the tab it takes a flat thrust washer or you can cut the groove. Ive done it with a file before I got the mill. I reccomend adding grove and using tab washers if it had flat ones. Flat washerstend to wear in the center bore.if you have to secure washers in place vaselene dosent react with transmission fluid.
