upon tearing my tranny apart I found that the clutch that was attached to the imput shaft to have play.heres my questions.it there supposed to be a bolt that retains the secondary on the input shaft. or is it a press fit? there is no bolt on mine, ive never sean a secondary clutch that didn't have a bolt maybe that explains the loosenes or wiggle on the input shaft.the bands seam to be in pretty good shape and all the gears have minimal wear.im gonna replace the bands while im there any gow.my biggest concern now it the clutch and shaft wick I have out on the bench in one piece ..ty all for the input

it may be broken off in the shaft. If so, you will need to remove the clutch from the shaft to get the broken part out. If you are referring to play as in the clutch can get closer/ farther from the sprocket, it is common. I've seen up to 1/4" on transmissions that were working just fineA well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
