hi there
i have a 2004 maxIV and have come up with a problem that i cant seem to solve with the T20, shifting problem ,no reverse & creeps forward even while in neutral ,to stop the creep i have to pull back on the sticks about 2 " but the reverse thing is unknown , if i pull and hold the reverse shifter REALLY hard it seems to try to engage but soon as i give some throttle it grinds like its not engaging fully ,it seems like an adjustment problem ,so i unhooked the shifting rods (both L&R) and tried to push the forks further back but they dont seem to want to go back any further , ive never had a t20 apart so i'm not sure what the internal functions are ,is it possible the shifter forks are bent inside ?? or am i looking in the wrong direction ??

how many hours do you have on it/first i would check fluid level/ has the sticks ever been adjusted forward or back/is there any fluid in the tub leaking out of the t-20 / what does your fluid look like /check all these things first /i rebuilt mine i am not a pro these tranny are tough //// another i forgot maybe your diamond shifters on top of your tranny are not engaging all the way mine was worn produced a grinding metalic sound mine had a flat spot inside the tranny shifter// sometimes these t-20 can be a biotch to shift from forward to reverse GOOD LUCK
