Thoughts on the new Aurora and Bigfoot models.

  • #2
Don't know what to think yet. I know I'd like to try them out. The Bigfoot model seems to be entirely based on a tire option though. And I'm not really sure what's going on with that "APS" addition to the admiral transmission. Some extra springs doing something somehow? Looking forward to going through the parts manual when it comes out. Also Aurora looks taller, wonder how tippy it is in the water. And not a fan of the rear bench seat. First impressions at a glance. Some seat time in the mud will be the real answer. Some interesting modded up argos in those pics by the way.

Okay...so is “tubby” a real Argo that is manufactured or a fabricated, one off, contraption?

not sure what they are doing with the 6x6 line, now you have to step up to the 6x6 bigfoot @ $22000 canadian to get the admiral transmission...... the admiral should be an option on every argo at no upcharge for the price they charge for the argo's now

I agree. If the Admiral is so much better and refined, why not put it in every Argo?
When I bought my 2016 Scout I didn’t know there was a difference or I would have bought one with the admiral.

as reliable as the old tranny being they have no reason to discontinue it.i like having the option but it should just be an option not be ridiculously high additional payments.

Where did you find the first two pics? Curious to get some info on those possible prototypes...
Them bigfoots are a joke, who buys an amphibious machine so it doesn't swim in the water? Even their brochure won't give them a water rating capacity like the other models, go figure. Haha
