I remember talking to someone about a Conquest and there was mention of an electric solenoid in the carb that will gall or get stuck somehow. I think it shuts fuel off to the carb. If there's a bad connection, it would open and close or stay closed.
I have no experience with that engine, but maybe its good info.

it actually came out easy. put the machine in reverse and drove back a few feet while pulling on the chain. seem to have the bog figured out. just wondering isnt the governor supposed to add more throttle when you load the engine down?? my machine when i get in the deep snow seems to bog out and run low rpms. any ideas?? this is the reason behind trying to shorten the spring like i had done before
got it stopped and fixed and when i hit the lake i actually had power and speed. seems nice!! got the machine goin 31.7 on gps tonite. just wondering if anyone else has ever had trouble with the governor spring in their machines?? maybe i could do some minor mods to the throttle assembly?? just needs a bit more ummf and ill be happy and leave it at that.
