You're cheating on those idlers, you're supposed to do them after you get the engine and tranny installed like I am. Only took me 2 hours to get the old right idler out and 3 hours to put it back in after I replaced the bearings, flanges, and chain. Gonna try and knock out the left tomorrow after work.
got 2 more axles to install then its time to make up the chains.then i gotta do the brake cylinders.then hopefully the bleeding will stop.will get some pictures up tomorrow.
just waiting on my bud to inspect my clutches, then the power pack can go back in.got all the chains installed as well as the slider blocks.in the mean time i guess i will tackle the tires.i really hate wrestling with them.tire shop will dismount, clean and seal the beads plus install new valve stems, all for 16 bux a tire.might just go for it.
Another resto......looks great and thats the right way to do it.
It seems the argos are a pita to work on with the upper tub on.
My back gets sore just thinking about 3 hours bent over to get an axle out.
