I would look online for some Bosch ones. I haven't had any luck with the ones from MFG. They look the same but they don't fit correctly.

I am having trouble finding them. Do you happen to have part numbers so I can get the correct ones?

Ok. Replaced points and condenser. Set gap and timed. Put engine back in and it actually started on ether for a few seconds. Twice. Now it's back to the same thing. No start!! Still have spark and it didn't jump time. Now I'm more confused than ever.

Had an old ignition coil laying around from an old three wheeler. Adapted it to bolt up and wire up. It runs believe it or not. Got a new coil ordered. Not real sure how to test a coil but just because you have spark does not mean that it works correctly I guess.

Well the coil fixed it. I actually drove it for the first time tonight. Got some adjustments to do but I'm happy that it can move on it's own. Thanks for all the help and advice. I'm sure more will be needed in the future.

That is great! I am so glad you got it running! Post some pics or a video when you get a chance.

So what fuel mixture are you guys running in the JLO? 20:1 is definitely too rich. I'm fouling plugs within a minute or so.

40:1 with a good synthetic: Klotz Amsoil or Belray are all good

Well it runs but floods out pretty quick. Fouls the plug (wet) fuel runs out of the exhaust too. I'm assuming a carb problem. Could it be the floats?

What carb is on it, mikuni, tillotson, walbro? I assume mikuni, James gerber mentioned stuck or saturated float on first page. If mikuni what size?

These guys are pretty good at diagnosis with enough information.

It's got what I assume is the original mikuni on it now. I took carb apart. One of the float pins is missing.

What carb do you have on it?

Now runs great. Until engine gets warm. Maybe 5 minutes. then it dies and no spark. Could the new coil be breaking down. the coil doesn't feel hot to the touch. Let it cool and engine fires right back up and runs great again.

I did replace the carb BTW. I put a new Mikuni on it.
