It shouldnt need styrafoam to float! i figured out the bouent force per tire here:Originally posted by Stonewall View PostI can't imagine styrofoam lasting very long under there.....

You get about 130 lbs of flotation from each 22X11X8 tire. 130X32 tires means it will float 4160 LBS in the water!!!Alaska floating atvs group on face book. Fixing help and trail rides!!!!!

The one in JP's picture was the one I was referring to, and it only has 16 tires, 2080 LBS of bouyancy. I don't see how you could get 32 tires under it, unless you ran triples on the outside.Originally posted by spookum View Post1983 Hustler 945-HK 627cc Vanguard

Does he still happen to have it? You could use the old rotted machine as a template to build a new one! Is it just styrofoam glued to the bottom or is there something to cover it? If it's unprotected I'd imagine the first time those tracks grab onto a stick and drag it across, it would tear chunks out.Originally posted by jpswift1 View PostAccording to the factory Attex sales brochure they did have Styrofoam in them as a matter of fact.

I really have no idea how it's attached.......I wish I saw one in person, but the few that were made came out before I was even born.Originally posted by Stonewall View PostIs it just styrofoam glued to the bottom or is there something to cover it? Maybe when we get the Hustler Corp. back up and running we can make a prototype machine similar to this.......Originally posted by jpswift1 View PostI really have no idea how it's attached.......I wish I saw one in person, but the few that were made came out before I was even born. 1983 Hustler 945-HK 627cc Vanguard 1983 Hustler 945-HK 627cc Vanguard

Unfortunately, after my Uncle passed, they had to clear everything out for insurance reasons (pretty much how we got a few the the Tru Way racers). Not sure if someone else local got it or it went for scrap. I'll check and see if my Cousin or Aunt might know what happened for sure.Originally posted by jpswift1 View PostDoes he still happen to have it?
