Dang, also just noticed that a st300. The brochure says its a 225/hustler. Wow, great info here. Thanks a million Bill! It probably did have the 1" pinned sprocket/axle design then. Good thing I have a st300 body too, lol. Still trying to hunt down time though, lol.

Larry, I looked at the pics really close and it looks like the body band isn't one piece that goes around the body and the flares. There's the standard Attex body band for the body and then a separate piece of black trim just for the flares. Now it's time for you to get wrenching and build one to bring and show it off at Ashtabula in June!Originally posted by LarryW View PostHey Stonewall,
I think you are right. That is the best photo I have ever seen of it. I never knew how it was mounted. Hard part would be the body band. I do have a 225/hustler. Probably 12 decent balloons too. So basically all I would need is the time, lol."Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"

It's probably just some edge trim like I used in the rider areas on my Hustler. McMaster-Carr has it. You can do it Larry!Originally posted by jpswift1 View PostLarry, I looked at the pics really close and it looks like the body band isn't one piece that goes around the body and the flares. Looks like climbing in and out would have been a bit awkward.Originally posted by LarryW View PostExactly!! Wow, I have never seen that picture. Its the same guy and jacket on the brochure though. Must of been shot the same day. I talk to Jim Gerber some on it. He said they only made one. I have about 6 or so pictures of it from mags and events. Must be it got around a little. Also guessing the axles didnt take it very well. It appears that one tire is missing in one picture. Left rear one. I assume it had the first style axles with the square ends?
Pretty cool though.
Looks like Attex was very open-minded about their R&D.....Damn! I wish they were still in business.Banned

Someone needs to give this machine a good home and get it running and driving again.Just a little update as I recently had a conversation with Matt O. about his Attex Bigfoot. I expressed how upset my son Jason was when he saw the pictures Jim had posted of the Bigfoot sitting outside in the weeds. Matt told me it was up and had 16 tires on it again and was in the shop the last few months but had to be pushed outside only recently as it is really big, takes up a LOT of room and they needed inside space for their Mudd-Ox expansion. He is getting an addition put on one of the buildings just to house the Bigfoot and some of the other vintage AATVs. We talked about the expense of just getting it back running as it needed two motors, two clutch sets not to mention 4 sets of tracks. Seems the tracks turn brittle when they sit out in the sun for 30+ years. I have donated factory tracks from my Superchief to Matt to help with his restoration. I am trying to get hold of L.D.Bruce as I thought he had a set of the correct vintage tracks also. I am not sure what else Matt needs but maybe others who might have the correct engines or clutches or track segments lying around and of little use might donate to this worthy cause also. My take on Matt is he is not out to make a buck on this old stuff but actually wants to try and preserve it. Just needs to keep his Mudd-Ox project healthy so he can fund the restoration and preservation for us and future 6x6 enthusiasts.Originally posted by North Country Tough View PostThanks Jim,Matt O you gotta restore or sell that unit dont let it rot into the ground, its a neat piece of AATV history,Iam sure you would have no issue getting it sold.NCT
