      Mr. Gerber,

Thank you so much for posting that!!! Is that the same prototype that Attex brought to the races, as seen in Joe M's pics? What engine powered that? Was it the OH160 16HP Tecumseh?

Yes, we had it there. It was the 16 HP Tecumseh and the T-20 with a military attex seat.
We just found pictures of the frame, and we are scanning them now.

That is soooo cool! I was staring at the seat and I thought that it looked just like the one that was in the Attex 8x8 tank trainer that I had (which Hydromike now owns). I must say, you made my day by posting that shot of AATV history. Do you happen to still have the blueprints or technical specs from it? Maybe we could replicate it. I know there are some really motivated 6x6 nuts out there that would love to try. Thanks again for posting that for us to enjoy.

We will keep you posted if we find more! We are just starting to dig through the old files and scan stuff in now.

Wow! It looks pretty simple, yet very capable for pretty much any type of terrain.

No thats not what I was after. I was after the attex 225/hustler with the dual wheel option. The one with the fender flares. Only one of them was ever made.

I have also seen Matt O's. Its rough. I dont recall seeing styro foam but I could have missed it probably. I think the channels where rusted out pretty bad in between the tires where the chains run. Its rough but not unfixable with some good metal work.

                    Wow Thanks, Bill!

Was there styro foam under them to float?

I'm so excited to see all of this cool old Attex stuff that I can assure you I won't be falling asleep any time soon! I'm more hyped up right now than a 5 year old on Christmas Eve that just ate a pound of sugar. I have way too many machines right now, but after seeing more and more pics of the Attex BIGFOOT, I think I need to find one or build one.

Hey Larry, I think you could build that rig pretty easily. It looks like they've just got a couple of pieces of metal bolted to the body for the flares. All you'd need is a 4x8 sheet of your choice of metal, and some dual wheel adapters!

Exactly!! Wow, I have never seen that picture. Its the same guy and jacket on the brochure though. Must of been shot the same day. I talk to Jim Gerber some on it. He said they only made one. I have about 6 or so pictures of it from mags and events. Must be it got around a little. Also guessing the axles didnt take it very well. It appears that one tire is missing in one picture. Left rear one. I assume it had the first style axles with the square ends?

                                Hey Stonewall,
I think you are right. That is the best photo I have ever seen of it. I never knew how it was mounted. Hard part would be the body band. I do have a 225/hustler. Probably 12 decent balloons too. So basically all I would need is the time, lol.
