Now I've gotta get a couple racks built up and chain saw mount fabbed up then I can start packing minimum stuff.

First thing I added. FIRST AID kit, then a small glove box with few essential tools however the more I think about it the more I'm going to go a bit more extensive. I'll add some pre-cut chains for the 3 positions as there are different lengths for each.

I'll rig out my ride for my terrain so I suppose a snake bit kit for summer would be good to add too LOL

Anyway, once the racks are done, then I can add it all in.

What do you guys use for fuel cans? I've seen some that have some kind of twist lock and custom bracket on ATV's and thought of those but only see them on rigs as they go by no idea what they are.

oddly I even have some collapsable oars on board LOL

    Nuff for now.
We take a 5 gallon on the trailer, but a full tank in my MaxIV will last 4 days+ at Busco Beach or Pine Lake.

I've got at least a 5 gallon tank, it's not enough my machine is a pig on fuel absolute PIG with that Tecumseh HH120 12Hp engine.

Now once that diesel is in it...well all bets off then LOL I'm sure it will sip fuel compared to the 12hp. That's why I am looking to find out bout these clamp on canisters. Plus good for chain saw fuel/oil

Here after phoning a buddy he said these where what he was looking at for his ATV/UTV

My MaxIV will probably drink more also, once I pull the 18hp Vanguard out this winter and put the 3cyl gas Kubota in.

I have to ask, if vanguard works well..seems to you did not complain, why remove and replace with a gas kubota and I never new they made those? Why not do a swift change with 3cyl engine then?

Whats the merrits to this bota engine you speak of what size rpm hp etc???

Gas is cheaper than Diesel and no smell.
Kubota is 24hp, 3cylinders means TORQUE.
3600rpm is the same as the 18hp B&S, so the ground speed will stay the same.
Don't want to go Faster, we use them for trail machines, not Go Fasts.

I didn't see it in the thread but it could in there, battery jumper box w/ air compressor. It can use to charge phones has standard plugins. I travel alone in an 1999 conquest and this has saved me walking when I have to winch a lot!

A boat anchor is handy when ur stuck and no trees around to winch yourself out. Just hook the winch to the anchor and throw it out and as you winch in it will dig into the ground and u can winch yourself out.

I got a extra pair of gloves and a chain saw. If you need all that junk onboard I'd be looking for a newer more reliable machine. Your overloaded before you get in!!

If I am just going out for the day, I carry:
                          5 gallon can of gas
                          gloves
                          chainsaw
                          12V compressor
                          stop leak
                          100' of rope (for self-extraction)
                          a tree protection strap
charge adapter for my cell phone
                          spark plugs and wrench
drinking water (amount depends on the length of the trip)
                          Valve stem wrench

I have thought about adding an anchor to use as a deadman for swampy areas where there is nothing else to pull against, but that definitely takes up some space. If I am going to be out for a few days, I add camping gear. That pretty much takes up all of the free space in my Max IV with two adults riding up front. If I think I am going to be a long ways out (more than 10-15 miles), I carry a few more tools because it can become such an ordeal to get the buggy out of the woods if it breaks down out there. It is so much easier to get it out under its own power. I don't think I would carry everything listed in earlier posts, but I am considering some of the items that I hadn't thought of on my own.
