    • My names Jeff, I recentley came upon a 2001 Argo Conquest 8X8. There isint a whole lot to do with it here in San Diego, But I go to Montana quite a bit, so I know it will be alot of fun up there. There is no way of any service that Ive found down here, but Im hoping that this site will be quite a bit of help to me.

      • Welcome Unamas,

People on this site try to be helpful to anyone with questions. Most of us seem to do all the work ourselves too, so don't feel like your alone in the matter.

        • Hi guys n girls (do we have any girls?)

I have a 6 x 6 Amphicat with a CCW single cylinder 2 stroke. Believed 1973. I came by this in a deal about 15 years ago. I've never had the time to do anything with it. The tub is in quite good condition. (Red & blue with American stars & stripes)Transmission system looking a bit on the rusty side.
Most of the 3 stud small centre tyres are completely rotted out.

I would prefer to fix it up rather than sell, but lack the storage space & time. I'm 2 minded at present.

Currently trying to get it started - see my thread started today entitled CCW won't start - no spark in the engine section.

I live the north west of England, near the sea side town of Blackpool, about an hour north west of Manchester.

                  • Hi Denis, welcome to the site. For your belt, you may have to unbolt the engine and lean it over to the clutch side to get enough slack in the belt to get it over the clutches.

                    • I know where there are 6 hustlers just setting. Does anyone out there know if these little critters can pull any thing on wheels

                      • Hi mrtt, welcome to the site. What model Hustlers are they? That will dictate whether or not you are able to pull anything with them. Some of them came with a trailer hitch but if it were a Hustler with a jet pump for instance, I don't think you could get those with a trailer hitch. Also, what kind of load are you looking to pull with it? A new Argo 6x6 can pull 1200lbs so I would guess that a Hustler was less than that and it may be substantially less depending on which model you have.

                          • Welcome alex,

You came to the right place. First thing to do is start a thred with a picture or 10 of your new ride so we can help you identify it. Once thats done post a thred in the wanted section looking for your parts. Someone will probably have them or be able to help you locate them. Then start a build thred and show us pictures of your progress. If you need help just ask. Someone will almost always chime in.
