  • [QUOTE=Mike;20210]I don't know what happened to the old thread so I will sticky a new one here. All of the introduction posts can go here so they are in one thread.

Don't be shy, tell us a little about yourself. Do you own an amphibious atv? If so, what kind. Where do you live, etc?

We look forward to meeting you.

I live in the interior of British Columbia have a Qwad and an argo 8 I would like to know if someone knows if they can straighten out a front axle left side or do I have to buy a new one? I also fly model airplanes my favorite p51 .thks ERNIE

    • Hi Ernie, welcome to the site. You can straighten out axles and still run them without a problem. Try searching the site here as the topic has been discussed some in the past. I have one on my Max II that I straightened last year and it is still running true.

      • Newbie to 6x6's in Grande Prairie
Mother-in-Law recently bought an Argo Bigfoot from action. (Like I didn't have enough projects already) Runs goood and is alot of fun, needs some TLC though. I've been snooping around the forum for some tips on how to tune this unit up, seems to be helpfull. Any tips for things to check would be helpfull, I know I need bearingsand it doesn't want to shift between R N H L without grinding like mad, not sure what that is. I'm sure I'll find some info here though.

        • welcome to the site. For the grinding problem, is the motor idling properly? If it is idling too high that could cause the gears to grind. You may want to start a new thread in the Argo forum if you don't find the answer somewhere on the site already.

          • Hello, my name is Rick (getrmudy) and i have been a avid atv lover, for as long azs i can remember. I have had several of them over the years trackster, attex, husstler, coot, to name a few. i currently own 2 sperry rand wedges , one with no options, and one with all three. i also have a tri-cub. ive kept them all origanal for the most part and need some technical help from any one who might be able to shed some light on my problem. you see my wedge quit turning left, and they are hard to get around with one way steering. ive tried to adjust the cluctch assy. every witch from sunday. it works when i have the buggy off the ground, but as soon as i put it on the ground, it wont turn. the shaft just spins, not the tires. is there any body out ther that can help me, i would greatly appreciate it. my e-mail address is gertmudy@yahoo.com and my phone number is (407) 459-0335 thanks again for allowing me to join in my opinion the true 6x6 atv club.

            • Hello Rick, welcome to the site. You have quite an impressive list of ATVs that you have owned. I copied your post out to the other ATV section here for better response since not everyone checks the welcome thread. Here is a link to it: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/other...turn-left.html

Good luck with your Wedge. Post some pictures in the gallery if you have any.

              • Hello

                Hi all.
I'm a new owner of a 2002 argo 16hp. I live in MI and love to hunt. Aafter more back surgeries than I care to talk about, I decided that it was time to quit making my kids drag my deer.
I purchased 11 acres recently. I bought it very cheap due to the fact that it has a long narrow swamp across it, keeping the owner from getting to the back of the property without using the neighbors property. This is what led me to an argo.
I imagine I'll have lots of questions for you guys.

                Tom

                              • Hi tlucas1972, welcome to the site. Most of the parts can be found at your local auto parts warehouse or you can always post a wanted ad here on the site in the classified section. Post up some pictures of your Swamp Fox if you have some.
