  • Ranger Ferret

Hi Guys. I am a new member who has a Ranger Ferret. I spent a lot of time looking for info on the web on these buggies and found it here on this web sight. I live in Flin Flon, Manitoba, Canada and worked for Hudson Bay Mining & Smelting for 32 years. Now I have a new job and boss. Retired and enjoing life with my wife Julia. Not sure if I wrote this in the right place and not sure where to go to upload my Ferret picture. I will learn.

    • Hello,
My name is John and I am a new member to this site and to the 6x6 world. I live in central Ohio I currently have an Attex (got it about a year ago) which is a blast to ride. I picked up a Sierra Trail Boss recently and I am sure I will need the help of the group. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

              • hi john,

post some pics in another thread and let us check out that huster your looking at. It sounds like an ok deal to me, but depending on the model it could be a great deal or just an ok price. We will be more than happy to help evaluate it for you though.

                • Hi everybody, I love that there is a place that fellow 6x6'ers gather and talk! Im new to posting but have been reading threads for a while now and ive read alot of great info. Im located in Denver Colorado , its actually a great place to own a 6x6. I own a 1998 Max IV and love it. I just got back from a place called Red Feather Lakes in Colorado this past Memorial Day Weekend and it was a great time! I guess the only downfall would be bouncing around like a rag doll over the rocks! I also do alot of fishing out here and love my Max in the water. I actually built fold down floats that you can stand on and fish from. The floats completley eliminate the "tippy" feel that the Max has in the water. I will post pictures later if anybody is interested.
Anyways, im happy to be here and i hope to make some new 6x6 friends!

                  • Welcome DenverMax,

Thanks for introducing yourself, and I'm glad you are finding the site as useful as I do. I've only been to denver once, but I thought it was a pretty cool place. I know I would love to see pics of your floats and I'm sure others here will want to see them too.

                        • Welcome drummerashton1980,

There is an AATV buyers guide on the site. Read it. Use it. Take the checklist with you and proper tools for inspection. Michigan seems to be a hotbed of amphibious vehicles so make sure you find what you want and don't settle on a vehicle you do not love. Deals are often found by members and posted on the site too. You should try and see if anyone in your area is going on a ride that you can tag along. If your lucky you will get to ride in several different machines and who knows, someone may even let you drive.

                          • Hi drummerashton1980, welcome to the site and congratulations on your home purchase. There is a Used ATV buyer's guide in the how-to section of the site. Read through that for some basic knowledge of what to look for and then keep your eyes peeled on ebay or craigslist for an ATV near you. Also be sure to check the classifieds here on the site and maybe even post a wanted ad with what you are looking for. Good luck in your search.
