Hi Folks, It says I never posted an intro, I joined a couple of years ago.....well I'm a sledneck, from Central Illinois USA. that found a 70 Camel Cebtipede about 5 years ago.. and used you guys to find an engine for It...I got the motor from Shane in Taylorville Il. I found a Rough rider a few weeks ago and am now looking for parts then a new owner. Thanks for the help and the hospitality. Jon

    • Another vintage sled head - cool!

There's times I wish they hadn't made so many motorized toys through the years. I think I have to have one of EVERYTHING!

                  • I’m Joe and I’m from SC
In the real world I’m an Engineer who is a global consulting SME in construction, operations, maintenance and specializing in reliability. I teach, certify and perform all the predictive technologies, root cause analysis and so forth. I mainly do R&D on gear/transmission systems, bearing set ups, pumps, compressors, hydraulics and their associated systems.( what that means in English is that I get called for all kinds of equipment failure disasters- find out what happened and why- fix it and then design it out of the equation) I’m also retired Army.
In my preferred world, I’m a life long hunter/fisherman/outdoor type who likes all types of 4 wheeling. I have owned a few gun shops and did specialty gunsmithing. (which I intend to get back into depending on what happens in November)
My main purpose for joining here is the wealth of knowledge and experience here I read while ghosting on the site. I do not currently own an AATV but have (or had) 4 wheelers, jeeps, bikes and hummers and I plan to get an AATV this year sometime. I have used/managed and maintained them in just about every environment on Earth ( along with everything else to include MRAPs and Tanks) but I have never had one of my own.
My secondary purpose is that one of my associates is negotiating a contract for feasibility studies for 2 major industrial equipment manufacturers to possibly get into the AATV market ( totally commercial/military- not recreational) and if that comes to fruition then I will probably be on the team designing a few of them in a few months. (We also talked about maybe taking that effort and doing a scaled down version of AATV for the recreational user since that would not violate the agreement’s competition and IP clauses depending on how things go)
Thank you all again and I look forward to conversing with you.

                            • Welcome to the site Northernargo, are you in the UP or a troll? For the non-Michigan people, Trolls live below the bridge, and UP is "upper peninsula".
Here is a ride from last weekend http://www.6x6world.com/forums/local...tml#post113714
We are planning another in a few weeks....we will post up a date when we have one. Everybody is welcome.

Just purchased a 1998 Max II (thanks Tim) and I'm looking forward to having some fun. Really enjoyed reading the posting on the site and hope to meet some of you. Would like to get down to the April Busco Beach ride but I don't have a trailer yet.
