Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. I've been reading posts on the site for a few months. I've recently acquired a couple of first generation Attex machines that are in parts. I think they are both ST/300/D bodies, however one had only ST/300 on it (after I sanded off the paint over the top of where the stickers used to be)! I can't seem to find any record that ST/300 without the "D" was ever a valid model. Both sides of the tub are labeled the same though... Anyway, I've made some progress in the restoration of the mechanicals on one of them. One answer I can't seem to find is what to use for a replacement fuel tank? Someone must have answered this question before, maybe you could point me to the correct thread. Thanks for all the great information, I've wanted one of these Amphibians every since I watched Saturday morning cartoons in the early 70s. Jim
Hello all, my name is Sweaver and I look forward to acquiring my first AATV in the near future. Right now looking at the MAX IV do to their popularity.
Hello to everyone here, my handle is Shotgun, real name is Russell. I have recently been interested about ampibs and have been scouting the forum. Lots of very good info here and everyone seems to be friendly. I enjoy fishing, hunting and pretty much anything outdoors.
looks like a pretty interesting and helpful site. I currently have an avenger 8x8 750efi. OHV Kholer twin cyl. purchased it used and think its had a pretty hard life. its a blast and goes anywhere on the snow and ice with the tracks on. But I am having intermittent engine issues, especially in the really cold. It seems to sputter and back fire when it is running. I have replaced the coils. It has been really cold and cant get it to run at all, it seems to almost start, lets out a bit of a back fire and that's about it, can anybody lead me in the right direction for diagnoseing.
I retired about a year ago.I have been working on lawn tractors and tillers and Go Karts for many years. Thought I would join this group t see what I can learn about building off road machines.
hello everybody. i just purchased a scrambler model number 1000. i am trying to print out the manual for the machine so i can rebuild it. is there a way to do this? when i save the image it is very small and does not print legibly.
Hi rat scrambler, welcome to the forum. Some of the manuals are in jpg format. For those you have to open each page by clicking on the thumbnail image and save the large image that opens up to your computer. Then you can either print them out one by one or combine them to a single PDF file and print that.
Hey guys. Just signed on a couple days ago. Love the site. Has already been helpful to me. I have been wanting a 6x6 for ever. I just bought a hustler. Dont know what it is other than that. It's old for sure. Has a k440-2ax in it. Seems to run good. I have only got to ride it once thru the yard. Needed some wiring done. I think it's about ready. It didn't seem to pull good but it had a bad coil so only ran on one cyl. Should have new one today and we will see how it does. This is an awesome bunch of guys on here helping. Thanks.
