You will love that machine. Lots of fun to drive and it will go anywhere. I have had mine for nearly 14 years and it is very reliable.Borrowing tools is for the weak.

Hello all. My fascination with the AATV goes back to my childhood as our neighbors had a pair of 70s model Amphi cats. My recent purchase of a 98 model argo 6x6 is the first one I have ever owned so I am sure to have many future questions. I work for large scale excavation company mainly fabricating job specific machinery and after a recent adventure of being hired to recover the wreckage of a helicopter in the midst of a huge cedar swamp, I re-examined my fascination and decided it was a must have.

Well I imagine he'll see this on the right and get pointed in the proper direction, took me a while to figure out what I have , on the site that is.sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.

Thanks! I’m beyond page 1 now. So, newbie reporting in. I’m retired Air Force civilian in Lake Elsinore, California. In planning an active retirement, I bought a used Max IV around 2008. Things didn’t work as planned so Max sat outside while sun turned red fiberglass a dull pink and gasoline began to jell. Will be seeking advice on fair price to unload as a project vehicle. Biggest plus is never used snow tracks stored inside along with original 21” Rawhides. (Vehicle has larger tires, maybe 23”?) Biggest negative is years of sun and heat
Didn't even know the Kohler 25 HP would turn over until yesterday. Mechanic buddy reports it starts instantly on a spray of starter fluid and sounds good. He had fuel line disconnected so no gasoline could go into carb until fuel tank is cleaned and fuel line replaced. The next time he shows up, I'll ask him to look on dash for serial number. Please look at these opinions:
1. It would sell best if all it needs to start is a jump start to the ancient battery.
2. Actually replacing the battery isn't cost effective in selling a project vehicle.
3. Once engine is running, probably should resist urge to put it in gear because I'd likely be breaking something.
Your opinions?
After thoughts... Was intending to replace front bench with upholstered seat which will be included. Don't remember specifics but vehicle includes some feature described as desirable if planning to use snow tracks. Finally, will need a new ignition switch since I lost key and switch is bypassed.
Will try to post pictures I took today.

Using a heat gun on the low setting and going over the body will make the red look bright and new again. Clean the body to make sure it's free of dirt and grime and slowly go over the plastic until it starts to "sweat" then move the heat gun to the next area and you'll be in good shape. It'll take a little time but it'll be well worth it."Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"

Hi Fella's n gals
I'm up in SE New Brunswick, Canada watching the tidal bore come by my window near the Bay of Fundy. Currently I use an 84 Honda trike alongside an 86 Yamaha Enticer Longtrack snowmachine to get out firewood and feed my chainsaw mill habit. Across a bit of a river, I have a woodlot and camp development I would like better access to; so was thinking to find an 8 wheel argo or Max4 to bring wood out to the road. So I'm happy to find such a helpful site here at 6x6world; as I'll probably take on a project rig and modify it for woods work. If any of my Maritime neighbors have an interesting machine please try to contact me.
thanks,
jim
