Hi jgrizzd, welcome to the forums. I think the 750 HDI would be an excellent choice. There are a few threads on the forums about hunting with an Argo that you should be able to find by using the search if you haven't already. Good luck with your decision.
So I am 25 years old and started a business back in 2007 when I was in college and it has slowly grown quite successfully. I have been traveling back and forth from DFW to Alaska looking at various places to buy some land.
For the prices that I want to pay per acre I am looking at having to build some what in the bush so that is one of the big reasons I have come to this forum. My goal is to become more knowledgeable on transportation in the Bush. I have been working on my pilots license for a while now but I really have enjoyed researching the ARGO line (which ironically I saw flipping through channels one day and this crazy Storage War TV show dude had one) and have fallen in love. There is not as much information as I would like (because these are expensive machines) to make a decision on what to buy.
Anyways, hopefully by reading the forum and contributing to it, what I have learned so far...maybe I can figure out how to transport and build a nice cabin in the Alaskan Bush.
DSC_0258.jpgWelcome to the forum Alaska. Since you have all those frequent flyer miles, you may want to use some to fly into Cleveland next month. http://www.6x6world.com/forums/6x6-a...24-2012-a.html The picture is from 2 years ago. This would be a good place to check out many different machines.
After 9 years of hunting here in Alaska, and being limited to walking, four-wheeling, snow machining, boating, or paying a small fortune to fly in, my eyes have been opened to the capabilities of aatv's. Last fall I borrowed a Max II and followed my buddy in his Buffalo truck into some places and situations that I wouldn't dream of walking in let alone riding in. I became a believer over night. So, after selling my jeep, boat, and a car, I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new buffalo truck w/ Adair tracks. After only a week of reading this forum I am already getting the bug to find a project machine to tinker with. These rigs and this forum are like legal crack. Once and I am totally addicted. I look forward to interacting with everyone here in the days to come.

Seth,
Welcome to the forum. That is going to be a sweet setup. Even though you can probably drive a more dirrect route with your new machine, you will find your drive will probably take longer. Instead of avoiding obsticals and mud holes like on a four wheeler, you will be trying to hit every one you see. I feel like a little kid that can't walk a straight line and has to jump in every mudpuddle I see........... its going to be fun for you
I stumbled across this site trying to find some information on the history of Attex AATV's, since my Grandfather and Great Uncle had one that was in his garage before they both passed away. They bought it new and my Dad still has it. I would like to restore it for him because I know there are a lot of memories in it for him. After looking at some of the projects that I've seen I also want to get another one an have some fun with it. Looking forward to all the advice this community has to offer. Will try to post pictures soon.

welcome Ben, hope your build goes well and you can find one to play with. members will be very helpfull, if you have questions start a build thread and we will help with any questions we can. good luck
I am new to the site and have not posted anything yet. I love my Argo but have been having issues so this wont be my last post. I hunt and fish and live in Michiganand there is tons of places to to play and I will when I solve my problem. I am sure glad there is a site like this to goto for anything that has to do with my Argo.
Welcome to the site steveboss. We are rich in members from Michigan, and it sounds like they go group riding rather often. Sorry to hear your machines acting up, but if you run into real trouble shooting issues, you can always start a thread about it. We are always happy to try and help.
Hello folks,
I just bought a new 2012 Argo 750HDI from foxvalley, a regular poster on this board. I am looking to learn a lot from the accumulated experience of other owners of these fantastic machines.
I have about 30 acres of sedge marsh with spotty sapling development in central Wisconsin. This marsh separates my main high land from some other acres. I look forward to being able to use all of the property for recreation and to be able to share it with grandkids. I am hoping that this machine will be a magnet that will help to bond the next generation to the land. badger73
Welcome badger73. The 750HDI is an awesome machine! Your grandchildren are sure to have the time of their lives "riding were no one else can go". If your marsh is anything like Dougs you will be able to spend hours showing them the different types of plants that grow in such an ecosystem close up. Plus kids just like mud. Enjoy and be sure to post some pictures and or video when you have some.
Keith.

ADAIR TRACKS, WITHOUT 'EM YOUR JUST SPINNING YOUR WHEELS
REMEMBER KIDS, THE FIRST "A" in AATV STANDS FOR AMPHIBIOUS
Hi everyone
I am new here, But I am not new to 6X6's I have had several over the years, Attex, Max4 and a few others.
I just got a KID to restore but it runs and drives perfect. It does need some body work and the chains look tired.
My KID has the Wisconsin gas 4 cylinder and it runs good but has some blow by, I will probably rebuild it before long
What are you working on?
