  • Here to learn.

I rode dirt bikes and ATV's for years and had a sand rail. I've been thinking about 6 wheelers. I only have seen one once,a friend years back brought one to AZ from Mi.
    It had a Renault engine!
I'm curious if any have seating for five? And what kind of suspension they have.
What kind of extra ability, traction wise you get. I have some reading here to do!

    • Hello all,

I grew up in Michigan riding dirt bikes, 3 wheelers, 4 wheelers, and snowmobiles (and still try to get out on them every chance I get) but this is the first chance I have had to get my hands on an aatv.

I found a Scrambler 3600 at an auction. It needs to be rewired, but looks mechanically ok. The only other thing I know is the engine was supposedly replaced. It is a twin cylinder, and looks similar to a 340 model I found pics of somewhere in this site but can't seem to find now...

You guys have a great site here with a ton of info and knowledge I'd like to thank you in advance for sharing. : )

I just faxed the paper work in to buy another parcel over on Minden Rd, about 4 miles from the Lake Huron home property.
10 acres of woods and pasture with a new 56x58' shed, 3 stall horse barn and a 14'x70' mobile that I will be renting out.
Plan on digging a pond and annoying the neighbors there also.

                      Hey Hickster,

Buffalo Bearing 716.874.1720 is the place to call for bearings.

Here is a great how-to on replacing bearings, take note of the 3m black rope caulk used.

Be sure to get the triple seal bearing for the outers.
My 97 uses HC207-20r3(18$?) for the outers and HC206-20(13$?) for the inner bearing.
Always a good idea to replace the cheap stamped steel flanges when replacing a bearing also.

Tractor supply has the 1-1/4" 3-hole flanges for 7$.
Use the old 4-hole flange as a template, use a transfer punch to mark the new holes and drill the 2 holes yourself.
Be sure to get the grease-able flanges.

What hub are you talking about, got a pic?

                      • Greetings from Mexico 6x6 world

Hi everyone , I'm new to the website. I purchased an ArgoConquest 8x8 last year on ebay and brought it down home to Torreon, Mexico (northern Mexico) . I am sure everyone on this forum agrees that these machines are the closest thing to a dream come true.
Now my problem is finding other 8x8ters in Mexico, I think I am the first one...

                        • Also, I spend hours watching the 6x6 and the 8x8s on this website and on youtube, I think I will be able to bring some good videos in because the terrain here is different than what I get to see on most videos. I look forward to uploading the first videos of Argos in Mexico - Orale!!!!
