My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.

I think the 1st gen 340R and 400R all came with open mesh engine covers like the 208TT, but the cover could well have been replaced in the last 50 years.Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.
(6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

Well being the good husband I try to be its not a hard sell so I am on the search for another max 4. I have learned a lot from you folks and enjoyed reading the posts and seeing the pics years past so im looking forward to more. also looking forward to grandson riding the max with me when we find it.
Happy to have found my way back here.

I’ve been following the site nearly as long as I have been wanting to purchase an Argo . Lots of questions . Main purpose is to access cottage during winter months . 6x6 vs 8x8. Rubber vs plastic tracks. Budget is always an issue , married with children . Accessing the cottage with my 4 wheelers during fall is possible but challenging . Getting whinched out is common , would never attempt with snow on the ground , as well as once your in Mother Nature could drop 12 -18 inches over night .
Let’s start with that

Welcome Jamie, where are you riding at? It may help answer your 6x6 or 8x8 question along track configurations and other possible accessories to make your journey more enjoyable.sigpic

New to this site. I have never owned an ARGO but I am going to get one for me and my son. He loves military stuff and I figure an Argo with track is the closest I can get. I joined this forum to get advice from the experts. I found an Argo for sale close by and I want your opinion. It is a 1998 8x8 with the Kawasaki liquid cooled 20 HP with 320 hrs on it. It does come with a set of tracks. The guy said it runs good but there is a antifreeze leak at the back bottom of the motor while it is running and the guy said that it is just a gasket on the back of the motor and is relatively easy to repair. I can buy this Argo for $4000 or less. Should I be concerned about this setup with the Kawasaki engine and does this sound like a good deal??
Thanks!

Greetings, everyone. I have been researching here for the last couple of months, and just bought a 95 Max IV that needs some work. I live in the North Idaho panhandle (sandwiched in between Eastern Washington and Western Montana) and am wondering if there is anyone in this area that has one of these or at least something like it, as I had never seen an AATV in person until I bought this one. Would be good to find some riding buddies once I get it working.
Thanks for the wealth of information you have provided here and I look forward to participating in the discussions.
