I drill 3/4" holes and use the body plugs for max. I install from inside mainly so I don't have to get under it. What did the tub end up for weight?

      Nice job.

What's that beast in the background?
      sigpic

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
      Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

That works for me, keep it simple with the same size as the Max.
The tub came in at 48#. The trailer as it sits, 225#, half the weight is tires and wheels at 116#.
I'm very happy with the weight, it's half the weight of the other two I built.

          Thanks Jim.
Thats a suzuki buggy. It's got a 3 cyl metro motor with samurai tranny, t-case and axles. Front and rear steer with a thin wall chrome moly frame 1245# wet on the scales.
Runs on 33x9.50 tires in the summer and Camoplast tracks in the winter.

Yes very cool. Looks like fun.
What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.

Tell me about that tracked buggy in the background! Is that Suzuki I see??

Thanks tbone. It's so much fun that it should be illegal!

Check post #49, thats the basic's. Here is the build thread on it Just another lightweight buggy build - Zukikrawlers

Used to run 31x15.5 Terra Tires in the snow and it went ok, then found the tracks on eBay. Took some fabbing to get them mounted but its a whole different machine now.
Never been stuck to where we had to winch. The only time its been stopped in on real steep climbs.
If you want anything specific I will be more than happy to reply.

I adapted a ball coupler to the coupler that is mounted to the max, just incase someone else has to pull the trailer. It slides into a slot on the tongue and pins into place.

Wow, totally missed page 5 completely lol. That's really cool and I'm surprised I haven't come by it already or at least had someone esle share it to me lol...I'm a bit of a Suzuki nut (see screen name lol), I've owned 27 Samurais over the years, a bit of a whore some say

I'll read over your build thread as soon as I have a few minutes to sit down.

Wow 27! I had 12 at one time but down to 1 junker, two tube buggy's and two built sami tin tops for daily drivers. I have most everything to build a rear engine independent suspension buggy. Just to many irons in the fire now.

I made the mistake of remodeling the rec room before I finished the trailer. It turned out to be a bigger job than anticipated! Then just had to make 2 elk antler end tables and a floor lamp, but it's done and the trailer is finished maybe. Trying to decide if I want to mount a gas can to it.
Made this cover out of the 18oz vinyl coated polyester, it has a nylon pull strap around the bottom to hold it on.

I didn't like how it sank in the center so I made a removable bow to keep the water running off.

I am in awe of the fabrication skills. From the hitch, to trailer to the cover!
