      Finally!

Well I worked on this thing yesterday afternoon most of today and I've got it pretty much finished up. I've got to pick up some more bolts tomorrow and wire up the winch and rear light I mounted and I'm going to put in a bigger battery but all in all the body band is finished! I took a couple of pictures showing how I did the corners and a couple of pictures of the finished deal. I also welded a plate on the rear of the winch plate and sandwiched the tub like the factory winch mount. I don't see any way it can give with the band wrapped around the body and the plate sandwiching the tub.

I'm pleased with how it turned out! Now to get some roll bar tubing and get started!

While deer hunting I have climbed some muddy hills that had the old sphincter knotted up and she just kept digging. Looking at the photos you posted of the sunken Max they would be right at home in that terrain. They don't side hill very well though.
Thanks for the positive review. Couldn't find them from our Australian supplier of stuff like that and ended up going with Kenda Bear Claws. They look to be the most aggressive we can find, and with the mud here we need that. Now we can get really stuck.

Body band looks good. Might be time to fab up some mud flaps too, that is the next plan with ours.

I hunt just north of Vicksburg on steele bayou. We are going to have a ride in March if u would like to join. It would be nice not to be the only one there not riding a quad.

I removed the seat belt plate that bolts behind the seat on my Max IV because I was no longer using the seat belt. Over time the middle of my lower tub began to sag. I then had to jack up the sagging middle section of the tub on either side and reinstalled the seat belt plate again. This was before I knew about using round tubing on the front seat to keep the middle tub from sagging.

                    Rubber body band

Hey, I am getting ready to fab a similar body band on my argo, but have a really nice
rubber body band now. Do you guys think I should put the Steel over that, or remove it?
It seems like drilling a bunch of holes through it would weaken it a lot. On the other hand, it might keep the body seam more watertight, and give just a little cushioning to the roll cage I'm planning. Just enough give to prevent some cracks maybe. What do you think?
