Muffler and battery mounted. Just need to make a hold down strap for the battery. The seat frame also needs a little bit of "cleaning" up yet.

AWESOME JOB! It is really cool to see what the Guys and Gals come up with for these machines.

Well took a couple steps backwards the last few days. First i went to pick up the tranny and dropped it. Now the sprocket has 3/16 runout. Looks like i will be straightening it and welding it. Then i mounted the last 3 tires and one has a hole in the sidewall!! Brand new. so i called interco and got the run around then forwarded to someones voicemail. Needless to say i haven't heard anything back. So not impressed with them right now. The guy i talked to said it could probably be patched. Sorry i don't want to patch a brand new tire. Ok rant over

That sucks, on both fronts. I hope Interco does what's right and replaces the tire for you.

Interco did email me i think they will take care of it. Initially they thought it was a punture. So i sent them more pictures so they can see it better. Guessing i wont hear any more till monday. This is the hole though.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
              Joe Camel never does that.

Tried molding the tub for clutch clearance. I couldn't get it to move far enough. so after a couple hours i decided to do like Daniel did on his mid engine max and cut a big hole in the tub. I used a stainless steel cooking pan for the center and some regular steel for the frame. Of course i had to pick about the worst spot for the hole but i think it turned out ok. We will see when i put it in the water.

Thanks guys! Well i got a new tire from interco. I am somewhat happy with that as i had to pay to send the old tire back so there mistake cost me a good chunk of change. Latest update is the center axles and sprockets are installed. Now i need to broach the two front sprockets and brake disc. Slow and steady i guess list is getting smaller.

Got all the axles in and parking brake reinstalled. Took a pic of the old vs new axles. New axles are 1 7/16 o.d. 2" longer than the 97 axles. The end is turned to 1 1/4 and is drilled + tapped for a 1/2 retaining bolt. So the eccentric collers won't have any side load. Using 3/8 keys.

Is there an issue given the lower engine speed of the diesel and the higher speed the clutches were designed for?

The diesel governor is set at 3600 rpm so its about the same as most gas v twins.
