4170 was built in 1974. some of the RIM machines have serial #s that overlap into the 1990s. Cant find notes but think somewhere in the 10K area.

Cory, this is getting to be a great reference. I sticky'd this thread so that it is easy for people to find but I also went back and edited your first post. Going forward, if you will just update that first post in this thread as people post their information, it will keep things easy to find for everyone.

I also reorganized the numbers in order so it's easy to see where your serial numbers fall since so many people have posted their information. If you will insert any new numbers in order I think it will make the numbers easier to reference.

Odd that the 1976 RIM falls in between the 94 and 95, must have had a different numbering system then or started over when they started calling them Max's?
