      Hi kelvin That sounds like 1874 Lbs or so. Do you have any way to weight it once done? Are you going to try to propel it with tires only in the water? and I think you should go with 36" tires or 900mm in dia with your clearance and gear ratio. now that would be some ground clearance.

          i would love to put 36" tyres on it but their is no way i could afford that this thing is built so cheap i wouldnt have spent 1000 on it yet and also chris i can put it on a weigh bridge

            For tires check into HUMVEE surplus tires. Got a cheapo track desighn I'm thinking of. After final exams down (this week) ill ilumanate it.

                  2.4mm thick its a bit thin but its free and im going to put ribs inside it and also have a square tube skeleton that it will screw to

                    • Thats about 12 ga or .094 thick are you just going to just silicone the inside and all the screws? Are you going to move the radiator? It looks cool.

                      • i will probaly weld it but not certan new that you mention silicone we will see getting the aluminium today an no the radiator will stay their for now just depends how well it works their

                        • That thickness of aluminum is not really that thin. I dont think you will need many ribs and even if you do weld it go ahead and silicone it to the metal frame every where it rattles. also if the welds leak you can hit it with a center punch and that will stop small pinhole leaks. I had no leaks in the welds with 3 passess of a spool gun on all fillet welds.
