I finally got back on the Tricart project and got it going again yesterday with all the new ignition parts… beautiful bright spark now. I still have a few minor carb issues, but it’s running pretty nice right now. The end of the recoil start spring broke off on me, so I’m back to the rope around the crank pulley until that’s fixed. Anybody here ever try heating the spring and reforming the hook on the end?

Anyway here’s a few videos of wildboy ripping around. This trike is a real handful when it’s running right.

That looks like fun! Now go pick up all of that gravel you slung into the yard.

Looks great, good rebuild, yes Goodyear does not make those tires any more. Note: when you put your wheels on make sure you have the arrow going backwards, that will let the tires slide into the turn and not grab. I learned that after years of racing Tricarts.

So, I wound up with yet another distraction from responsibility earlier this week. I picked up a Tricart that needed a good home. It's worn out, beat-up and missing a bunch of important stuff (jackshaft, engine, correct steering, air in the tires, etc.) but the body is in respectable shape.

There are a couple photos in yet another gallery album. The Attexes are starting to worry that my affection is waning.

How many of these do we need to get together before we can race them at Pine Lake? Just two, right?

Probably not, but Wildman has two that he's thinking about bringing. So, you'll need too bring the Wedge!

Shoot; it won't take much work to get mine running and they don't take up much trailer space....... anybody know where I can get a chamber for a JLO 230?

Don, If you would really be interested in one and can LMK what sleds used that motor, I'll poke around the Snowmobile Junkyards, who knows. While a long shot you never know. 'course a pipe from a 440 twin pipe setup would be easier to find, a nice racy one with a stinger, no can

Is there a SuperMod category for Trikes? (The Plessinger Tricart Rail doesn't count!) I've got this spare 503 in parts laying around, you see?

You win the class. You're the only one that's ..... well..... Adventurous enough (yeah, that's it: adventurous) to run the class, unless, of course, this guy's still around.
Actually, I think that one was John Plessinger's, and he may still want to race you.

Thanks for the offer, John. If you do happen to find a pipe for the little JLO, I'd be interested (no 440 Tricarts for me, though).
