Whipper, Bridget, Hopefully We'll see you soon enough (Which isn't soon enough) Are you planning to hit any other events like Ledges or busco?
I'm gonna start updating again on the racer, and now will bring it out for maiden voyage at one of these two events. Have fun guys, (and Gals) I'll be seeing you at the next one

Don, the plumbing could have broke while you were gone, so it really sounds like you were lucky.

We'll miss meeting you, too, Micmac & 6x6.

    ATV Harpies

It's a relief to see I'm not the only one that the ATV harpies are trying to discourage.

I thought I was ahead of the game, but pulled the hubs off the trailer just to check Monday and found the bearings not-quite-perfect (and didn't want to "pull a George" on the way) so I yanked all the bearings and went to the local NAPA. They're a great bunch at the store and checked numbers and sizes for almost an hour, but the parts they sent me home with were "almost", and wouldn't make the wheels go round and round. I took time off work and went to a trailer place- no problem. Got that fixed: trailer ready.

Last night a pipe burst in the basement cieling. Got the water shut off to that part of the house and I'm in the precess of replumbing.

After this is done, I'm sitting in the corner and holding my breath until we leave. See you Friday AM sometime!

6x6, Micmac: We'll miss you! Hope to see you guys soon at some other place.
    Don

I then proceeded to take it for a spin, and fried a bushing in one of the idler sprockets, which in turn broke the chain. Soooo..... off to B-lo bearing it was this morning for a new idler bushing. Got an extra one, just in case. I got the carb swap on the D/stock done, too, so it should make it.

I refuse to even start one of them until I'm at the track. Bad mojo man,.... bad mojo.

I know what you mean, Mike! I just.... I think, got done with everything I needed to do to the Scrambler... I hope. I'll make last minute tweaks, once I'm at the track.

Since I'd hate to go with a cobbed machine, we will be planning on having her done for Ledges, and/or Busco (Drag Strip) Bummed doesn't begin to describe it, We have no machines that are comp ready, but me and Jimmy will still be enjoying a race (Coca Cola 600). I'm sorry I won't get to meet everyone out there (Some for the first time, others again) Hopefully I'll see you all At Ledges, and if Bud decides to do an Ashtabula '10 We should have a few machines Race legal by then, I'll be there for sure!

Take lots of pictures and Videos, I look forward to watching them and being insanely jealous.
    John,

I feel you're pain I'm in the same boat

    UPDATE

Joe, Keep it on ice & have a fan blowing air on it. Does wonders!

O.K. Here's the latest update. Dropped the trailer off this morning. We were just in awe as to what a beautiful place Pine Lake Track is. You guys are gonna love it. Never seen such a beautiful "primitive" campsite.

The track is awesome, full of turns & jumps.

For those of you wondering if someone would be at the track to let you in, the answer is yes. Bud said he should have someone at the gate round the clock starting Thursday around noon. You'll get a wrist band & have to sign a waiver. You can park anywhere you want in the pits.

I've got pics of the track & the campsite, but with this new laptop, we haven't figured out how to shrink them to post yet. If we figure it out, we'll get them up. If we can't figure them out, I think we might e-mail them to George? & maybe he'll post them for us. We'll try.

Here's a little more direction help for you. If you're coming on I-90 exit at EXIT 252 N. Kingsville (I-193) go south to Plymouth Gageville Road, then turn right (west) to Maple Road & turn left. It's a dirt/gravel road & you go down a hill & just as you start going up again, the entrance to the track is on the left. Pay attention, because the street signs are small.
