Hi Guys! Glad you made it safe! We are rolling out Thursday night and should hit Ohio sometime in the morning on Friday. The packing has started and we are excited! Brian is like a 6 year old the week before Christmas. We can't have a conversation that doesn't end up being about this weekend.
    We can hardly wait!
    See Ya'll on Friday!
    Beth (Brian and Wyatt, too)

    You're Welcome!!

No sweat dude, it's fun. We did some major surgery on my old 208TT that's now in the capable hands of 'Ol Swifty. We took the top off and put it on his racer, which added a full 20 pounds to the 123 pound machine (with Jeff in it ). She's a light little unit, and I'm excited to see her go. The JLO started right up and ran about perfectly.

While trying to get her started, we noted that we had no spark (critical to an engine's success), so we yanked the flywheel to really get in and clean the points, at which point I noticed that the spark advance was locked up tighter than a.... (well, it was tight)... and it was also cracked. I threw one on there that was hangin out on the bench collecting drywall screws, and she fired right up. Nice engine. Strong enough to be scary in that machine, i think.

The 503 and the new racer (it needs a naaaaaame.....)both got shake down runs following the upgrades and are running pretty well. I may still do the carb swap on the 'ol D/stock so she can make and appearance, too....

Lots of cleaning left to do before the convoy heads out Friday morning. Can't wait to see everybody there....

A huge Thank you to Cummings' 6x6 Race Shop!!!

I was lucky enough to have the assistance and great knowledge and skills of Hydromike and his dad to help me finish just about every last detail on my Attex racer today. We got a top on, some more frame reinforcement welded, a new axle made, we put a new flywheel on the motor, and we started it up........that freshly rebuilt JLO 440 ROARS! I am now a believer in 2 strokes, even though I was once turned off to them years ago. I now see that when you build a 2 stroke correctly and have the help of folks that really know about them, they're quite the impressive engine. Pictures of our day will be up tomorrow and video of my racer will be taken later this week before Ashtabula.

I'm really lucky to have such great friends here on 6x6World that have got me parts, offered me advice, and helped me build my machines and get me ready for Ashtabula. Thanks everyone!

    Marc,
How about meeting off exit 133? It's the exit for Flat Run Speedway, Philipsburg.

Must be odd, driving through all the cool, lush green, coming from AZ. Something like 20 days with rainfall in my area. Phoenix was supposed to be 106 today

Too bad, we didn't know that sooner Racer. I had an old factory roll bar. We just plopped down in a room in Illinois & we're not turning around to get it.

We managed staying just behind the storms in Tornado Alley. We'll be in Cleveland tomorrow afternoon.

Bridget's Hot Flashes are loving the weather. She says it's perfect racing weather, too.
