What sort of Rotax are you running? If you're running a version of the fan-cooled 447-503 style engines, there are a great number of free-air kits for the 503 if you want to get around 60 horse out of it by negating the fan tower altogether. I've seen 40mm Mikunis strapped to the back of 503s, with the heads turned at 90 degrees to facilitate cooling. They really scream. Maybe a pair of CHT gauges to keep tabs on it while you're blasting around? Ultralight guys don't lend a lot of help in 503 mods, though. They're all way too worried about falling out of the sky.

If you're running a big Rotax liquid cooled, then... well... we're not speaking.

I'm running the same as last year in the RIM.... You may not want to speak to my father then (It's still under 500cc though - but I did pick it out).

I test fit my neighbor's trailer yesterday. Just enough room for the Max, Argo and Attex camper. The dogs and camping gear are going to take up the bed of the truck. See ya'll Friday night!

In PA working with dad and hoping to get an untested Rotax in his springer running to replace the melted and too rare/expensive to repair Sachs. It should be way more reliable and is already easier to get parts for. I also have 5 days instead of 2 this time and we should be there sometime on Friday. Chuck/Cole, when are you guys leaving?

    Hey Larry,
PM me with your travel plans.
    I can leave either day.
I'll have mine and Mikes (Toys4me) Attex's in tow.

We plan on hitting the trails and watching the races.
Having some timing issues with the Thunderchiefs JLO, may need some help from you 2cyl guys straightening it out.
Any one have have part numbers for the G50B points and condenser set? I should probably pick a spare set up for the Superchiefs!
Or if anyone has a set on the shelf they don't need any more, bring them to Ashtabula for me.

I hope to bring some firewood with me also, depends on how much room is left on the trailer after getting the Attex's on it.
I dont think I need power but does sound like a plan. Buckhtr17 and I are bringing Hamburgers and dogs! I will look for you. We are tenting.

    There is no electric right?

I remember the big 1/2 wrecking ball bon fire thing but is that the only fire allowed? Are fires ok to cook on? Is there fire wood somewhere to buy?

I am assuming you all brought your own food or is there a place nearby to get something. Like fast food or something in that nature? Any local Red lobsters or old country buffet?

No hookups of any kind. There are porta-jons there though. I believe fires are ok. Bud brought the firewood for the fire last time for free. There are plenty of fast food places within a 10 mile radius too for food.

I'll be camping there, and I'll be arriving Thursday afternoon. There's a lot of space there, so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting in and out of the campgrounds. I'm probably going to park at the same place I was last year with all the other 6x6World members. Go down the entry road, pass the starting line, and swing a right at the corner of the track and you'll see us all there. Just pick a spot and pull on up.

Everyone was very friendly last year, and super helpful answering my numerous restoration questions. I am still a racer wantabe but am hoping to at least get a trail machine there. The racer I am trying to complete needs some parts. If anyone has the following parts and is going to Ashtabula, please PM me!

    Attex ST/300/D

    Needed:

    At least 1 sprocket/Tube assembly,26 teeth,1 inch. Possibly a 2nd one. I have broken teeth/bent teeth

At least 1 aluminum bearing hub. Possibly a 2nd one to replace a steel one. I have a cracked aluminum one.

Two of the 3 bolt tubes that go on the "slightly smaller than 1 inch" axles. The flotation tire mounting hubs/tubes.

Anyone that can help, please contact!

    Hey Groundhog,
I have some hubs and sprockets that do not fit my Superchief.
If you can take a picture of the OLD hub/sprocket and measure EVERYTHING and pass those dimensions along, I may be able to help.

I think he will be impressed that there are many of us and at the different styles of machines. U-haul has a small trailer that can be rented. I rented a 6x12 for the springer.

Glad to hear you are coming to Ash Amphibious Drew.

This will be my first time and unfortunately My Tomahawk has no way of coming with me (not that the old 4 stroke would win anything), but I want to bring my son out to see there are others like me that love these crazy machines. I'm not sure if I am going to camp, but I was thinking of bringing a set of hard plastic tracks to see if anyone wanted to swap for some swimming tires. PM me if your interested in the tracks.
