Just beat me to it! That's a shortened video from a 25 minute long one

On this video the engine sounds got cut out because they were over-powering the music. But at the very end the Superchief dies out slowly, sounds pretty cool

As far as i know right now it blew a head gasket.

i guess its better than slinging a connecting rod...maybe a big block next time ?
and who watered that track, WOW should have used skates to get around that track.

Yeah, that's not that bad, i'm replacing the head gaskets on my 23 kohler tommorrow morning, so its not that bad. Were you blowing white or blue smoke? It will still run with a blown gasket thou, wouldn't it?

No smoke just heard it rattling a bit then it lost RPM's and as i crossed the line i heard it let go and it was blowing from the back cylinder. It would not start so i didn't push the issue. I will tear into it this week and see for sure. The video turned out good just wish the motor would have held.

I have more of the races and they will be next.

Must be them new carbs with the internal rev limiters. Or maybe the gearing and clutching doesn't match the ole torque curve.
Lewis says this is the preview engine. Maybe the next will be a bigblock with a blower.

Make sure that you check the timing or specific, your timing advance. I might of came out of timing and lost its spark which caused it to die. head gaskets usually blow smoke (oil being burnt in the cylinder during detonation, if I'm correct), and yours just died. I hope it is as simple to fix as to buy another timing key for the flywheel.

When you say, "it was blowing fron the back cylinder" what do you mean? like the compression was leaking out?

Either way it goes, I hope it wasn't catastrophic!
