    Shawn,

Are there any vehicle registration or insurance requirements? I want to make sure we don't all get down there and then they decide we need some sort of registration or insurance on our machines. If we do need extra paperwork, we need to have a heads up as most people don't bother to get their machines plated.

Update, July 4 to July 7 2013. You will get your permits at the Little Coal River trailhead. If you want to camp there's two campgrounds right off LCRT, go to HFMC web page and you will see them under Little Coal River Trail and book it. There will be also a new trail open at this time that we can go on also. Lets make this a safe and great trip. Hope see you all there.

There are some wonderful alternative trails that the hfmts cannot dictate what you want to do. Some great riding, dry and wet, and tons of trails to find. I ride a few of the outlaw trails myself all the time. You have open camping, private camping, and also access beside the hfmt. Look up on youtube things like "wagon wheel" in WV or outlaw trails wv, or stair steps wv. These are all great rides, no restrictions at all, all day rides, The great thing is that even that its in the middle of no where you can still get a meal and a beer way up in the mountains or bring your own. If anyone is interested please let me know. I hope to have my first max in about a month, if not I got an old kawi 220 bayou that I run up there all the time.

HA! You love those Crocs. Would your OSHA approved ones work for this?

You need to keep in mind that HFMC (Jeff) does not set the law for utv atv that is a state law by WV. You need to talk to state rep. for this to happen. Not HFMc!

Also just some info Jeff knows all about 6x6, he has friends that has Argos. This is why we are getting permits.

Update, the trail system you will be riding is the Little Coal River Trail System it has about 60 miles of trail, your guys can also go play in the river with the floating units if they wish, it has a river access point just above the trailhead.

you will get your permits at the Little Coal River trailhead, Debbie Estep who manages the center will have everything set up for us to get permits, that is the only system you will be able to ride that weekend, they also have several campgrounds attached to the trail so camping should not be an issue. Also, everyone who comes will be required to wear a helmet eye protection and over the ankle boots. The permits must be purchased by every driver and passenger.

I have a meeting with them to set dates on Monday.

Maybe sending some videos will help explain what the machine is OR if someone is near by take it to them and let them see a demo of it's capabilities. I for one don't relish the fact of ROP. It make the units top heavy and has many other disadvantage along with seat belts. Not to be on the negative side, please keep up the great work we appreciate what you have done and are doing. The UTV's have scared a lot of places due to their speed and they may think we are of the same cut of cloth.

    Thanks for your effort.
    Lewis

You are absolutly right. They really dont have a clue what an argo or max is. The lady couldnt get it through her head what I was talking about. As soon as I said 6 wheels she assumed it was like a mule. I will talk to jeff and get the route I need to go on and who I need to talk to. She thought these were something new to the market. Let me start at the top with jeff and the guy under him. I will get some answers for us and keep you guys posted. Worst case scenario we can jeff to issue special passes whenever you guys want to run these trails. We also have "outlaw" trails that are even more fun to ride as an alternative to the HFMTS.
