I could watch these all day!
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

Amazing! I'm stoked that the Chaparral performed so well out there. The Flip footage makes it look like you guys are doing about 50 on some of those dunes. Any idea what sort of speeds you were actually hitting? The scenery is beautiful. Thanks for all the effort putting these together for us all to see, and sharing a great part of the country.....

on the semi hard pack flat out run i would get up to 68 mph in the redline.on some of those long down hill dunes that
were semi flat it was 75 and averaged about 45 to 50 when just dunning.
whippers was alittle slower it was hard for the redline to go that slow..

                      Whipper the Dune Emperor

If you have never been to the dunes it's hard to understand just how soft that sand is and just how easy it is to get stuck. One little mistake and you have to spend a lot of time digging out. If your in the dunes with a quad or a rail you always park facing downhill other wise you get stuck on the take off. The sand is soft and the hills steep and a minor mistake can ruin your day.

Every hill climb is a risk because you never know what waits on the other side and sometimes the wind cuts the dunes to the point that the other side of that hill is a straight drop off.

That being said the springers (The ATTEX and MaxIV's) seem to eat the tallest dunes and make what is a difficult task look easy. If you have never been to the dunes it's an experience to have a machine that can even move over this soft sand and when you are able to find a machine the performs in soft sand it gives you an almost invincible feeling.

On any good day at the dunes you see will hundreds of machines set up with V-8 engines, turbos, light 800 pound machines with 200 plus horse power motorcycle engines and of course hundreds of well set up quads and motorcycles.

Many of the sand rails cost over $80,000.00 so to go there with a 6x6 that even gets a second look is something special. Congratulations Whipper on your machine and some excellent videos.
You have a wonderful machine there and I am sure you and your friends enjoyed your day.

Your video from Oldsmobile hill makes you realize just how big this area is and just how far you might have to walk if you had a problem with your machine. The video that showed the springers and the motorcycles jumping give you a Small idea of what you might encounter at the top of any hill.
Whipper you have done a fine job of building some beautiful machines that get the job done in impossible sand and you are to be congratulated.
I enjoyed the videos but every time I see your machines tearing up and down the dunes or the sand washes around Phoenix I get home sick. Well you can't have it all.

The Badlands park in NW Indiana has pea gravel/sand areas. I don't consider it any fun in a normal aatv. The right tires would help.. runamuk style or sand tires.

I love the guy in the green shirt at 4:09, in the sand drag vid, pointing at you two as you go by, He's probably saying "whoa, DUDE, check out those things!" Then around 4:21 everybody is trippin' on ya'll. I love it!
