Man, good luck tomorrow. Maybe if all goes well your wife will be complaining about the doughnuts in the yard!

I hope so Larry. The only yard complaint I get now is about too much dog poop (3 dogs). At least its fun to make doughnuts and I don't have to clean it up later. The grass just grows back after time.

I've never seen a T-20 that gave us so many issues.....it probably didn't help knowing that the previous dumb townie owner got his hands on it. You're really patient to put up with all the headaches. I'm starting to think that he might have lost the band pins when he took it apart and made his own out of some round stock and cut them too short. I have some factory original pins that I'd be happy to send down to you if you're still having an issue. Just think, all the hard work will be worth it when you finally get it back out on the trails.

Wait, you do donuts in the yard to fling dog poo? you need pretty aggressive tires to get over the neighbor's fence, don't you?

I am currently running knobbies, and the neighbor hasn't but the fence up yet.

The seals seem good. I thought I was going to have an o-ring leak in a plunger, but it all seamed to go smooth. I'd still be scratching my head wondering if I would be able to take it apart and put it together properly if it weren't for you. Thanks for schooling me.

Glad I could help you out, Drew. And thank you too. Sorry that we ran into so many hurdles along the way, but I'm glad to see it going again. Time for a ride sometime soon.

Update: up until 10 minutes ago it was still having fuel delivery issues. The engine would foul out because the fuel wasn't flowing from the tank all the way back. After checking a few lines, replacing the line from the tank to the shut off switch due to a kink that had formed, and eliminating the front fuel filter I still was getting nothing. I then pulled the line off the rear filter and, i'll be damned, fuel started flowing. Fast too! I put the line right back on the rear fuel filter and it filled right up. This was the first time i've gotten this filter to fill completely on its own. She started up and ran for a few with good flow and then fouled out. I pulled the plug and cleaned it as leaning out carbonated the heck out of it. Put it back in and she fired right up. I ran the engine in the garage for a while and actually turned it off cause I got bored of waiting for it to foul. Could it be? Is my tamahawk finally going to be trail ready? I am real excited guys. I guess the suspense will have to build till the weekend when I can throw the exhaust back on and really drive my wife nuts doing doughnuts.

Congratulations Drew!!! 99% of the issue is normally finding the issue. Once found its usually easy fix. Glad you got it going!!!

Hard to believe that it would foul a plug if it ran out of fuel. I'm not sure of the Tomahawk but the tec engine in my scrambler has the fuel line from the pump tee'd into the carb and the other line off the tee returns back to the tank. This setup keeps the float needle from staying open from too much pressure. you mentioned lines in a previous post so I thought you might have the same setup. If you do maybe the return line is kinked or plugged.

                                Hey Jerseybigfoot,
I have a few questions on the return line. The line must have a one way valve in it? Or it would suck air from that way I would think? I dont have one in my trainer but I installed the engine so am curious if I should do that. It doesnt seem to have problems though. It does seem to need to be choked almost every start up, even warm. Buckhnters17 Max with the oh180 does the same thing so I assume thats just normal?
